What is this medical training center "for the past 50 years" business. My father, an MD was drafted into the Army in 1952 and moved the family from the Bronx, New York to Fort Sam, to attend a MASH surgery class at BAMC. I attended the Ft Sam Elementary School for my Second and Third grades. Family lore has led me to believe that there were approximately 55 doctors in the class and when they graduated all but one received orders to go to Korea. The one who remained was my father who became an instructor in MASH surgery. He/we were discharged in late 1955.

Just looked Ft Sam to see where I had AIT Medic training in '69. Looks like there's nothing left from back then. We had 1940's WWII temporary barracks at that time.

I was there in March of 66. Wooden barracks, and wooden classrooms. I suppose this is progress.

Checking video and school for medical training online, is this really a good school, other comments are not good. Any opinions would be appreciated:)

Yes it’s a great place and it’s training has taught me the most valuable skills. I’ve saved family members and soldiers from what I learned here. Aco 232 2010.
