You have my sincere thanks, sir. I didn’t know if you would be able to get around to doing this video, but I’m glad I requested it. The results were really quite interesting: I am impressed that the round did so well against soft body armor, even from a short barrel; I am underwhelmed, however, with its performance on the meat target. Its still very interesting ammo, but seems to be more limited in application than I thought. Oh well, that’s why I am grateful when people test these things. Thanks for all the work. Just came across your channel & I really like the straight forward info & millinium era feel. I've used the fort scott TUI against an interceptor vest taped around an empty 55 gallon drum. Just one layer of vest it went right through & both sides of the drum. We doubled the vest up & it stopped the TUI in the second layer of vest but still put a nice sized dent in the drum. Impressive stuff if you are looking for penetration. I got very similar velocities out of my Jericho as you did your Beretta. Keep up the good work man.

I carry this ammo for a couple of reasons. 1: It's lead-free, and I like that. 2: It has so far run flawlessly through my PX4 subcompact that can have feeding issues, the projectiles being just a mite shorter than typical FMJ with a narrow spear point really help with that.

@@stevensparks3126 That's right. AP ammo sales ban is meant to prevent retarded ghetto thugs from getting them. Very interesting demonstration. Thank you! There are two specific points I took away from this... 1) Terminal effects from a tumbling projectile *are* a real thing, but will be most pronounced with one that is longer than it is wide (6.5mm Carcano, 5.45x39mm 7N6, etc). This means that relying on the projectile tumbling to inflict damage/transfer energy is not going to be a productive approach with most pistol calibers (7.62x25 Tokarev might work, and the 5.7x28 SS198LF also). 2) I believe the intended service ammunition for the Russian MP443/PYa pistol is the 9mm 7N21 round, using a 83.3gr steel core bullet moving at between 1460 and 1541 fps. Since MP443 pistols are a bit rare on this side of the Atlantic, and steel-core 7N21 ammo is even rarer, this TUI ammo at least gives an indication of it's likely performance. It would be very interesting to see if (and how) the MP443's design addresses the inaccuracy issues of very light, high-velocity 9mm projectiles.

It's fun to see a 9x19 load outperform the 5.7x28 at a fraction of the cost. That penetration is insane.

Don't see how they could do it, its simply a solid copper projectile. It doesn't meet the AP pistol ammo definition. But then again the batfags got told they could reinterpret federal law as they wish so...

@@jdhill770 its legal to make your own "black tip" m8 5.56 ammo if you load it yourself. The materials were not banned, only manufacturers were banned from selling it. Be the dog, not the sheep.

You have a reference for that...not only did my search not produce any info on such a ban, the manufacturer's website lists this ammo for sale with no restrictions. It would be rather incredible if they are openly selling something that is banned by the ATF.

@@jdhill770 Yeah, apparently I didn't initially process what he meant by 3-2-1. While I wouldn't be surprised if they did, they in fact have not, and it's difficult to believe they are not aware of its existence.

For the record, KZbin gun-ammunition shooter: TN Outdoors 9 dislikes Fort Scott loads. He considers them not quite on the level of HST, Speer Gold Dot, Hornady XTP. Not consistent or uniform designs...

Demolition Ranch has a video to demonstrate the audio difference of supersonic and subsonic ammunition with a suppressor through a 9mm. His target is a 3a vest. The SUBSONIC ammo penetrates the vest. When he looks at what he is shooting, the subs are solid copper rounds. Iirc they are round nose, but still penetrate 3 out of 4 shots. Basically, if you use solid copper rounds, you sort of have AP rounds.
