The pros outweigh the cons of this by a landslide. Pros: People who are very busy with school/work don’t have to worry about fomo, and will have a chance to get skins they missed, so people wouldn’t be forced to buy tiers, so they can choose to save their money or spend it on other things. If you fail to complete a battle pass, you are no longer punished for it. People will no longer miss out on skins due to them not playing at the time. Cons: “Boo hoo my exclusive skins are no longer exclusive, how will people know I’m an og? I can’t show superiority over new players now because they can have the skins too😢”

Speaking as an og player I think it’s a good decision. You do still have a reason to buy battle passes since it allows you to get the skins a lot earlier and for less v bucks. On top of that it will also give future players a chance to get some skins that were gone before they started playing.

I find this a good change because it allows for people who start playing this game later on to get skins that they wanted but missed out on from these future seasons, plus the battle pass hasn’t lost all of its value as epic announced that not all items are going to be put in shop and that the battle pass still saves you tens of thousands of vbucks if you were to buy the stuff when it is in the shop compared to the regular 950 one time fee for a BP , and this allows you to technically have early access to these skins way before they hit the shop

Tbh, Fortnite, except for OG season 2, never publicly stated that BP skin won't appear later, and they already did that with starter packs, because they put for ~1 hour the season 3 starter pack the next season. And the same day they announce this, 12 hours prior, they put (again for ~1 hour) the, publicly declared "limited edition", paradigm skin. We shoud saw this coming.

My take on battle pass skins returning to the shop is to just let it happen. For me personally battle passes have lost its charm with crossovers and skins that honestly just suck in my opinion. Battle passes are still worth purchasing because you're getting 100 rewards for just 950 Vbucks while also getting 1,500 Vbucks back at the end of the pass (correct me if I'm wrong on that). So even if it was just one skin from the pass you wanted you could buy it for 950 Vbucks and get more Vbucks back which is much more worth it than paying 2,000 Vbucks in the shop

Not being exclusive is good for the whole. The battle pass is and will be the best value around. Just because it isn't exclusive, doesn't mean you won't have it in your locker. Paying 950 vbucks for a battle pass that makes you 1500 vbucks for grinding plus gives you 7 skins plus one collab skin that each will be 1500 vbucks in the item shop. Get them for free is the reason to buy the battle pass and grind it. Otherwise, paying 12000 vbucks for those same skins with less styles seems way worse in comparison. Just be geateful and stop complaining about a bonus.

I don’t know how to feel about this tbh. They’re taking inspiration from SSKTJL and Multiversus with the BP exclusivity thing which allows people to not have that FOMO. Fear of missing out. That’s cool. But it devalues people buying the battle pass in the first place. You’re telling me I can buy this thing in this pass for a limited time season and this said item or skin from this pass will just come back like two years in an item shop like it’s nothing. It sounds like gatekeeping. I get it, but to override allot of these issues they need to make better item shop skins of these exclusive BP SKINS that are from other IPS. I really don't understand why they ruin their own game that was so good in Chapter 1 and part of Chapter 2. They attach no value to anything that was exclusive or special. Since the beginning of Chapter 5 they have been ruining everything with their metaverse and their item shop books that are page long and have been out of shape for even longer than that. If you look back at the period 2017-2020, who really sees the Fortnite that they once were so great with? I'm really sad to see the changes. That means I wasted money on the battle pass this bs I’m so pissed what ever to the good Fortnite I knew. Fortnite harming the game I miss chapter 1 I miss chapter 2 it makes me sad that I can never play the good Fortnite I use too come home throw my backpack and play Fortnite but now I don’t do that Fortnite is so boring
