Fortnite Gyro Aiming Tutorial Basic Settings "The Best Settings" for you!

This is to help people new to gyro set things up. I hope this will help you find the settings you're most comfortable with!
As I mentioned in the video, there's no such thing as "The best settings!" in any game. Any one claiming so is false advertising. The best settings are what you perform best on.

Also, hot tip for anyone watching: that button prompt on the left side of the screen saying "Return To Last Settings Tab"? That's because he's using the "Apply And Test" button in the settings to save his spot so he can go back to where he was in one button press. I highly recommend doing this when tweaking your settings.

Nice work! I v tried gyro in Enlisted (PS4) for the first time the other day, and after a few modifications it works almost perfect for me. So I v been searching ytb and noticed that there is not a lot of players using this, today algoritam put you on my rcmd videos, so there is hope 😉 sub👌

I've been playing around with the gyro sensitivity for a couple days and I think using the look stick effect, and maybe putting acceleration down to none, is what I was needing to help improve my accuracy. thanks!

I too turn off acceleration. I find my actions are realized better that way.

Since I have started playing on K&M I've felt like I can no longer play shooters on PS4. Now that gyro is in fortnite I can finally use it again. Now I just need to figure out how to properly copy my Splatoon 2 settings into Fortnite.

Like I stated in the video, the easiest way is to turn your controller 90 degrees and see how far the camera in game turns, so you can match it in Fortnite. And if you prefer the horizontal only stick turning, you can turn down the vertical sensitivity to match. There's even a recenter button you can bind.

I haven't really given flick stick a chance but I feel like this is something that really needs to be pushed. Maybe we can get Nintendo to put it in Splatoon 3 lol (They probably won't but i can hope)

Yeah I want to sit down, and master flick stick sometime. I have a 2 month old baby right now, so a little less time to game unfortunately. Gotta work to get rid of years of muscle memory from playing call of duty/halo on the Xbox 360 as a kid.

I never said all at once. lol. Still, while flick stick is neat and very convenient for doing stuff like 180s, it's also tiring because you have to rely on gyro more often for turning and require a button to pause gyro to reset your hands. So there's that trade off.

I really don't know. Probably a legal reason why they can't support Bluetooth.

No, I seriously doubt that. Bluetooth is fine. There's no discernible latency.

I play on Bluetooth all the time and it feels fine. Why Fortnite uses usb only on pc is unknown to me so I just assume it's some legal mumbo-jumbo.

Technically no. Not officially. You can if you buy a program called REwasd that can trick it into thinking it's a ps4 controller.

It has support through steam, and valve probably reverse engineered their own because they're the independent country of Gabetopia. I don't know why they can't use Bluetooth. I'm just speculating

How is the max sensitivity for the right stick without using flick stick? Is it crazy fast or is it slow like typical console shooter controls. I don't play fortnite so I was curious

Very fast, having the stick at 75% will make you spin twice per second

it's actually pretty competitive with flick stick like idk said. I have it at 100% when I use it. You just gotta figure out the timings if you go that route compared to flick stick where you know which direction you'll face when you flick.

If i turn off active mode combat and use gyro for only building and editing…..will i still get aim assist

Dude, I need some advice on this. I've been grinding gyro on always on since it was released on fortnite in ps. Just want to ask how do you keep your aim so steady, I've gotten pretty used to it, but it gets shaky from time to time.

Did that for me for a while too. I guess I'm just used to it having played like this for over a year. Stuff like subtle movements from my hand I barely notice. I might just associate my hands with head movement now when I play. It takes time and practice. Learning to steady myself was a discipline for sure. Try practicing in the aim trainer I linked in the description. I learned to track steadily through aimlab for a while. Don't be afraid to mess with sensitivity. I plan on making a sequel to this eventually, but I'm busy moving houses so that'll be a while unfortunately.
