Hi, I am part of the gyro community with jibb and have extensive gyro experience. I want to say that I'm sooo glad you guys did your research before posting this, all of this is very accurate. There is only 2 things, look stick effect just means that if you have it on disables, it disables the gyro when you're turning with the stick. This doesn't affect the Y axis, you need flick stick for that. The mk-7 doesn't get "zero recoil" with gyro, the gun doesn't have any bloom at all, so even on mouse the recoil is easy to control. You can see for yourself in creative too. If you pull the controller down too long, you have to look back up to fix your aim since your hands are pointed down

This 100%. It doesn't magically remove recoil at all, it just makes it easier to control recoil... like a mouse.

People really need to understand that if you try out gyro for 10 minutes after using stick for years, you're probably not gonna instantly be good at using it. Obviously you need to practice gyro before it makes you better than your stick aim, which could take hours, days, or maybe even weeks. Just because you suck at gyro doesn't mean gyro sucks, it just means you suck at gyro.

This setting really took me off guard, never thought it would happen. I played a lot of Splatoon before this so the way I like to have it is set it to always on and keep my vertical stick sensitive really low with no aim assist, basically a poor man’s flick stick. Even though flick stick is really cool I couldn’t quite wrap my head around it and scoping with it was a bit of a nightmare.

If anything, me playing Splatoon had me adjust a flick stick faster. Splatoon already limited the rights stick to horizontal camera movement, so the way flick stick works is basically an evolution of that (hence why Splatoon inspired JibbSmart to create Flick Stick).

I absolutely love the idea but for me the flick stick can be a bit jittery when trying to turn small distances (e.g trying to rotate the stick to track someone in scope), maybe I just don’t have it set up right… what are your sensitivities for flick stick, I might need to give them a shot

@@DapperPenguim9172 Something that a lot of people don’t remember when first starting to use flick stick is that you can still do smooth horizontal camera turns. To do so, you just have to hold in any particular direction and then move along the edge of the right stick from there. So if I’m holding up, I can move it left or right while holding the stick to the edge to smoothly turn like I used to with regular rights stick camera controls. As for my settings, I didn’t mess with those too much. I have it set to where using the right stick at all disables the gyro. As for the actual controls, I made the triangle button the camera reset button, which acts exactly like it does in Splatoon (I have the pickaxe mapped to holding down R1). My sensitivity for the gyro itself is at 1.5, but you should personally mess with it to get a setting that’s right for you.

@@DapperPenguim9172 You might want to turn up your gyro sensitivity, in general, the gyro aim is what you should be using to try and smoothly track opponents when using flick stick.

I’m a pc player. I started playing Fortnite July 6, 2022. And I am level 105. I first started playing with gyro aiming. It felt so normal to me, but i recently realized that it came out a couple months before I started playing, so most people don’t use it. I was surprised! It felt so normal, I thought that’s the default aiming mechanism. I didn’t think you could aim with the stick because the sensitivity is going to be so high for aiming, and so low for a quick 180.

Gyroscope is the best, waiting for them to add to other games. I've been playing mobile games for 2 years with gyroscope together. But some people who can't play gyro, I don't know what puts them away so much😃

Correct, because the point of gyro is essentially to turn your controller into a mouse. There’s no need for aim assist.

Don’t cry about no recoil , like it’s literally so important because u are controlling the recoil by moving the controller and it’s not automatically done !!!! KBM players be cryin over this , gyro is the perfect counter to KBM look it don’t have aim assist so it’s perfect in every way

is it just me or is gyro overrated? im a controller player and even i think it’s not that good and it might be more than a disadvantage than an advantage, even if people start getting used to it a few months from now
