as someone whos been playing fortnite since pretty much launch I 100% agree, I really like it tho. having the core mechanics there with everything else switched is like jumping into a remix of one of my favourite games, and yes as you said sometimes it suck mega balls but that's when I stop playing and take a break from it as to not get burnt out. really happy people like you keep an open mind towards fortnite and don't pass it off as the stupid children's game from 2019 or whatever.

Even the seasons I don't like are good at the end of it, because if I don't play a lot for 1-2 months, the matchmaking at the end of every season is in its peak of stability. I don't get bot lobbies because I still play every now and then, but I don't get people miles better than me. This also helps me to get to a reasonable Battle Pass level and I have a good time even in solos

my main love of fortnite comes from the skins.. they're so much fun to draw!! but recently there has been barely any memorable skins; the battlepasses feel so souless like epic puts skins they thought wouldn't sell well in the shop into the pass it sucks because i adore the goofy cartoony skins, but we barely get that now :(

I started playing Fortnite at the end of Chapter 1 Season 4, and at that time it was such a revolutionary game. Everyone was playing it, the in game story was engaging, the gameplay was so fun to learn and get good at. The guns were all so iconic, the blue pump, the golden scar, the bolt action sniper, the tac smg and shotty. It was goofy, but in the best way, salt on the meal. Playing the game now just reminds me of what was.

You bring up a good point about how all over the place the quality and fun of this game is. I was having the most fun I had had in years from Fortnite back in ch2 season 8 and 9, Playing every other day or so with my sister. Went on and off past that, then hardly have touched this season. Now I won't get Darth Vader, yes, Darth Vader. I don't interact with the community a lot but surface level they seem chill, probably after being the laughing stock since chapter 3.

Nostalgia is a happy yet somber feeling of remembering some event or piece of media with memories associated to it that you can never really go back to but you remember fondly. save the world is extremely addicting once you get decently far in and finally start understanding all of the mechanics because it's so unbelievably deep. hero loadouts, survivor loadouts, leveling up schematics, learning traps and tunnels, learning what schematics and heroes are good. on top of all this theres seasonal ventures that resets everyone to level 1 and it's a race to get all the rewards as fast as you can, stuff like dungeons and hit the road which are mini events for some extremely useful heroes. theres an incredible amount to learn, and tbh anyone who wants to go "nah that's too much" is a bit hypocritical especially if you play minecraft or terraria

I had not played fortnite since chapter 1 season 9 and i came back to it recently when i saw a group of friends actively playing and they invited me. The first thing i was greeted with was goku, naruto and lord beerus doing the griddy and gangam style, it was the stupidity that made me love the game and it's been the most fun i've had in a while. Edit: The fun came from playing zero build and other modes like impostors. The normal battle royale mode is still annoying as hell with the sweats who build a skyscraper upon making eye contact with someone
