Too many people think the white scars doctrine is speed. Their doctrine is unpredictability. Hence a stationary fortress when many would expect it to be mobile. Speed/maneuverability makes it easier to be unpredictable.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Dark Angel fan, but credit where credit is due. The Phalanx takes home the gold imo. But man I wish GW would put out a huge artbook with some official art of all the major fortress monasteries. I don't know if there's a single piece of official art for the White Scars FM. Give us more art GW!

The Fang/Aet if part of why I love the Wolves. The whole feel of Fenris as a whole really with The Aet being almost seen as Valhalla by the locals and being this incredible fortress.

The Phalanx is hard to overstate in terms of importance. I was under the impression it was archeotech from the Dark Age, not a creation of Dorn’s. I thought Dorn basically rebuilt it. Anyway, it was and is critical to the Imperium. It was the reason Big E had a chance to get on the Vengeful Spirit at all, since the traitor legions we’re having difficulty supplying their ground forces with the Phalanx in the way.

@@DESTRUCTOR122 Yes, but Rogal Dorn had already had it prior to meeting Big E. He gave it to Big E who returned it to Dorn. Thanks for clearing up it was archeotech. I was pretty sure it was, Dorn didn’t just build something like that from scratch, otherwise, he would’ve been the most important weapon the Imperium had.

I think my first book was probably the first ultramarines trilogy - starting with nightbringer. Was a classic. Then I think I read the grey knights trilogy, the Ragnar books and mechanicum. There’s something about reading the books that evokes the on the ground feeling of the dark and bleak imperium

Quan Zhou may not be as terror inspiring as monasteries like The Rock or the Phalanx or as hard a target as The Fang, but they have the best driveway of any fortress monastery LOL. You make the Scars mad enough and they make sure you get to enjoy the scenery at Quan Zhou forever while becoming a part of it

Perhaps the only chapter who made their monastery more dedicated to culture and recreational activities than warfare. In a way, the chapter is the physical protection of the monastery fortress while the fortress is where they rest their minds.

With the old loyalisr Legions, I find the Iron Hands to have a unique set up. Given Medusas topography, this lead to the creation of land trains, heavily armed, but land trains. Each is now home to a single brotherhood (or company.)

The lore has shifted quite a few times. It was first built by dorn. Then it was dark age and adapted by dorn. But the latest book says it was designed by dorn and built by inwit. So who knows what the next book'll say

I always like to post a reply to this type of video. Well done! There are now quite a few lore channels and most of the content is starting to just be rehashed over and over. But this? You are talking about where they live, what their "houses" are like. I really do love the idea of fortress monasteries and I would love to see art for them and/or floor plans even. Why doesn't surprise me that the white stars have literal forests and rivers running through their Fortress monastery? Can you imagine how beautiful that is I mean they probably have like koi ponds and cherry blossom trees and Bones II mean it's probably like the whole blending of like Asian culture that you picture in your mind like the beautiful little gardens that are in the courtyards of the houses I can just see that on a grand scale in my mind and of course it would belong to the white stars! Because my Lord, the Khan is all about Freedom like paradise to cross like empty planes with the wind whipping in your hair and a hawk at your wrist I mean the white scars are badass they are such an underrated chapter and I'm a raven guard saying this I feel their pain there's such a badass chapter and they've been done dirty for a really long time! I hope the con is coming back soon because my God I love that guy! He is such a badass!

Dorn didn't design the fists fortress monastery ship but he did lead in bring the tech back to life with his natural understanding as a primarch.

Well according to this new First Founding Book. It says it was "designed by Rogal Dorn, and crafted by the shipwrights of Inwit". Canon always changes in 40k. I prefer it being dark age tech. But will accept this

I do wonder if we'll see Commragh destroyed or crippled by an external force like the Tyranids or a Slaanesh affiliated faction. That could make the Dark Eldar desperate enough to lash out in force. Perhaps Chorgoris will become a target again and it'll aggravate the White Scars enough to make them invade the web way in force (perhaps it'll also be motivated by hints of the great khan being alive within the web way)?
