He is essentially a God of High Civilization because so many things that he rules over are the fruits of high civilization and essential to it. I have also heard he is the God of city building and organized planning which is also associated with high civilization.

Apollo and Heracles somewhat remind me of Lugh and the sons of Tuireann, especially the most prominent son Brian. The sons slay Lugh's father; Cian, and must be absolved from this deed by Lugh, in order to do so, the sons must go and do many labors to retrieve magic items for Lugh, like the labors of Heracles. in the end the sons die, just as Heracles does when he is shot by the poison arrow of the centaur (perhaps like the plague filled arrows of Apollo) before he ascends to god-hood. Tuireann of course has been etymologically linked to Taranis, who is thought to be the Gaulish reflex of Indo-European Perkwunos, and Heracles is also thought to be the Indo-European Perkwunos. Apollo and Lugh are very similar, having connections to arts, ranged weapons, justice, the sun, wolves, and the slaying of evil beings. I wonder if these two stories are reflexes of the struggle between the warrior storm god Perkwunos, and the enlightened justice god of many names.

The slaying of the dragon by the light sounds a lot like not only some biblical narrations of the defeat of leviathan. But sounds a lot like the symbolism to consciousness realizing its dominion over and within kundalini or the electrical energy of.the spine (staff/shaft/tree). Nervous system also referred to as tree of life. Third eye being the light dwelling above the bottom where the serpent energy lays dormant for most part. Highly thought provoking in the sense of priests and mysticism

I wonder if you're thinking about doing a video on the desperate wish of many modern people to find ancient matriarchal religions and societies, and the ways in which they cunningly disparage Yamnaya-descendant religions and societies for that end. There is an obvious disdain and hatred for anything ancient and European permeating society right now, and it's been this way for a while. I think a video on the origins of this and how to deal with / survive this would be helpful.

"There is an obvious disdain and hatred for anything ancient and European permeating society right now" If you can say this in spite of the positive (if not especially competent) media representations of ancient European stuff being literally unavoidable, you're just having a winge. Live action and animated films and series, books, comics, video games, website, toys, etc all depict this stuff positively, and we're currently seeing a massive surge of interest in things like HEMA (from all parts of Europe). No reasonable person could possibly come to that conclusion. That is clearly a reactionary position, and not remotely respectable.

So there's a Greek word, "Abeton", which means "the most sacred space" or se suxch... It refers to a pit incertain temples, in which the faithful descend, cleanse themselves, and wait for the temple god to arrive and dine with, answer prayers, be awesome. And there's a character in the bible named "Abbadon" who is called "Lord of the Pit". Abbadon also has the name "Apollyon". Sup with that? Apollo is not the sun. He is WAY more mysterious. Son of Leto, the Hidden One...his mystery is greatly important

Oh. I see. Slingshots and javelins were used side by side in Celtic lands. Most myths about Balor’s death mention Lord Lug using a sling. I’m aware that slings were quite popular. Javelins were popular, as well. The Irish even made special javelins in the 16th century with barbed heads and arrow fletchings.

It's actually not a religion but philosophy and it's not mythology like how people used to call it but decoding and everything has a meaning. The only issue is that you can not understand the meaning 100% if you don't speak Greek because you can't translate some Greek words in other languages. The Greek religion is based on philosophy. Greek's were forced into Christianity and all Greek philosophers were killed by Christians. Some Greeks are unfortunately too brainwashed but there are many Greeks who do not accept Christianity. The real Greek religion is a philosophy that teaches people that they were created by God and God made them like him and not inferior to him and teaches through philosophy how they can take advantage of the powers they have to become better, especially the power of their mind. Εxactly the opposite of Christianity which talks about a god who punishes when you don't fear him. The twelve gods are symbolic and symbolize the strengths and weaknesses that humans have.

This is splendid and the synchronization from the Gaul and Roman deity; maponus-apollon. Is easy to see. This brings many parallels such as music and the task of destroying evil doers near a body of water (giant or snake does not matter). As well as the connection of Leto and Rhiannon in this instance in insult over 'lack and little offspring'. Pereteri pendragon of annwn is not Zeus. Not king of the gods and not born of three siblings.though it is not a perfect parallel. It is enough to assume Julius ceaser had many people plans for British civilization, so this form lingers in history and reconstructive culture

I always found it illogical for Gods, and Titans as well, to not perfectly marry eachother, for example Zeus and Hera married but other siblings didn't even tho there is a perfect number of them If we look at Apollo and his connection with agriculture and constant connections with Poseidon, isn't it more logical for Apollo and Artemis to be the children of Poseidon and Demeter, I mean Poseidon was considered the main god in chthonic greek religion mainly because his Earthshaker epithet, and I think that all Cronus' and Rhea's children represent the conscious mind so it's not really a big difference, the only problem is that connection of Apollo with Coeus and Phoebe is not there anymore but some myths say that the Apollo's gift of prophecy and Artemis' hunting dogs were given by Pan, genealogy of Pan is not certain but it was said that he is older than Olympians so there is a possibility for him to be the son of Coeus and Phoebe

Nearly EVERY MAJOR GREEK GOD had affairs with same sex partners. It's called, BISEXUAL, PANSEXUAL. It was common place even in ROME for almost ALL OF THEIR WARRIORS AND LEADERS to have same sex relationships. It was common place and actually considered a badge of honor and position in society. SEX wasn't looked upon the way we do today. It is religion that made the condemnation.

Not exactly, as those are more modern sexual conceptions. But Greeks, along with the Romans, were rather homophobic, the latter more profoundly than the former, believing that homosexual attraction was caused by the _passion (Eros)_ not being controlled and thus becoming an overwhelming force and leading people to such and other practices deemed immoral in their societies, as disgusting as a belief that is.

Reminder Apollo was an Anatolian God who replaced original Greek Sun God Helios. Losers in 1923, losers in 1453, losers in 543BC 😎
@Dice_roller

Apollon didn't "replace" the divine spirit of Helios / Hyperion. He was only associated with the sun through its light; that association becoming more prevalent during the Hellenistic era of Greece, however he didn't become the only deity associated with the sun during Archaic and further time periods.

You dance around and away from mentioning Apollo's bisexuality by mentioning the women by gender sometimes (by word or pictures) but never the men (like Hyacintus). Which is a little disappointing that you shy away from it sir. But good video aside from it! (Edit for misspellings)
@FortressofLugh

I have addressed this as a community post. I don't shy away from it, rather it is my view that these humanist interpretations are often wrong. We need to understand that in most cases the gender has more to do with the structure of the language and the associated attributes than with representing anything to do with sexuality. There are cases when it does and I will address it when it is suitable, but this isn't one of those cases.

@@FortressofLugh oh! I might have missed or misunderstood the bit when you say that in the video then. In that case, my bad sir! I still enjoyed the video though if that counts for something. I'd like to throw in a question - is it your opinion that this is how it is, or is it a fact? I ask because you say it is your view. :0 Im not trying to be dodgy btw, Im genuinely curious about these things and if you know something I dont I think it'd be fun to find out and learn about it! :D

I believe it is the case, just as my view on anything else I mention, but I am mortal and fallible and I say this also because I am not attempting to force a particular view onto you. You will notice I used the words "likely, probably," quite heavily. This is because one cannot be absolutely certain when dealing with analysis of ancient concepts, ideas or the divine. I do my best. Nevertheless, I am as sure of it as I am of anything else. The reason I replied quickly to this is because I don't want to be accused of being some hateful person because I do not agree with a particular interpretation of myth. My approach is entirely consistent in viewing this unions and sexual relationships as expressions of fundamental connections between forces or concepts.

Apollon. Is. Not. Bisexual. That is only libel written by the Roman author Públius Ovidius Náso in his poem, _Mᴇᴛᴀᴍᴏʀᴘʜᴏ́sᴇ́s_ - Ancient Greeks and Romans' societies were heavily homophobic. Also, just because you are a "lover" of someone, _especially_ within a Greco-Roman context, it _doesn't_ indicate that you are in an amorous relationship with that person. It means that you are in a deep bond with someone, someone who is truly dear to you and/or you admire, either family _(στοργή)_ or friends _(φῐλῐ́ᾱ)_ or those who you were attracted towards _(ἔρως)._

Apollo is a copy paste god of SERBIAN-SLAVIC PAGAN SUN GOD POLON. "Greeks"/Hellens admit that a cult of Apollo (Polon) & Afrodites (Pela/Pelada/Lada/Lele) comes from SARMATIAN (Serbian) & SKITI (Scyhitian) LAND. Island TELO (serb.-telo-body) was renamed by Hellens as TELO-S. Original "greek" name is HELLENS and when they came to balkan the people who lived in Balkan-Helm-Gretia were Serbian-Slavic tribes: Pelazgi (named after goddess Pela), Poloni (named after god Polon), Jazigi/Yazigi (named after serbian word Jezik-language/tongue), and Greti/Geti/Goti (named after goddess Gaia/Geja/Gaja) and the land were Greti/Geti lived was called GRETIA (the first writen name of "greece") which was later intentionaly translated wrongly as Greece because original dark skined "Greeks" were HELLENS and people who gave the name greeks its origin were Serbian tribe Greti/Geti which later became term for Serbian-Slavic warrior social class also known as Gepids, Goti-Goths whose identity Vatican tried to erase by saying that Goths were Germanic were ALL HISTORICAL SOURCES SAY THEY WERE SERBIAN-SLAVIC, Illyrian (named after Serbian-Slavic pagan god ILIJA/ILIJA/GROMOVNIK/PERUN) or Rasseni/Rashani/T-Tachans (named after Serbian-Slavic pagan goddess Rassa/Reassa/Gaja/Zemlja). So serbian tribe Greti/Geti gave the name to Gretia and Greece and Greeks when original helenic-"greeks" were HELLENS and not Greti/Geti.

If you knew anything of my ancient Greek history you would know that nobody could stand me being around, even the other gods as I only told the truth. Truth is something rare at the old age of Pisces, the Kali Yuga known as the age of deceit. Well, it is now the new age of Aquarius the golden age of light and truth. I live in England 20 miles away from the reincarnated Athena and my girlfriend is reincarnated Persephone although I remain celibate for the last 15 years and my twin flame is Luna who was Demeter and is singer/songwriter Katy Perry although we have not met yet in this 3rd dimensional world.
