Wow!! He's using the guitar he was gifted when he was back home for his homecoming concert. An artist wanted to share his art with him, and it has influences from his tongan & samoan heritages and from growing up in Hawaii. The colors the artist included all have meaning. And a strategically placed his fathers name "Rodney" by the opening of where the sound of the guitar comes from. He is so special, and I'm so glad I've had the opportunity to witness the beginning of his success.

From his audition, he touched not only the judges but every person who was tuning in. I for one cried, personally leaving a band I sang and buddies I loved. And then losing my parents my husband and many others hurts. His emotions healed my broken heart knowing forever I was not alone. He keeps his Dad in eternal living peace forever. I have to agree that there's something providential about Iam's impact on the masses. Probably like many other viewers around the globe, I have enjoyed an abundant stream of extraordinary talented singers over the years that appear on these shows, but Iam has somehow managed to hit me unexpectedly deeply in a way that I can't really describe. He isn't as polished but his appeal is more than what meets the eye. In his simplicity; broken hearted state & focus to overcome adversity, I think he found a connection with many viewers (especially in a world that has seen a lot of catastrophises in recent times). Whatever it is, I can't wait to see how this show pans out for him & I am a fan all the way! Go Iam Go!!!

I absolutely agree with you sir, as a judge she should've never expressed her opinion like that. That right there is very wrong and unfair to other contestants. She should've just keep her opinion to herself and I know she means well, but still she shouldn't have done that. I'm sure those other contestants didn't take that well and I don't blame them. They're all great singers in their own unique ways. But Iam, he hits me deep in my soul with his singing and there's no denying in that. Thank you always man for your honesty. I am 53. I lost my dad when I was 27, and my mom when I was 44. I feel their loss almost daily. I may have a day when I reminisce about special memories that put a smile on my face and in my heart, but the next day I feel pain. I too, cringe when I hear a judge declare someone as the winner weeks before the finale, because I couldn't imagine being another contestant hearing a judge say that I am not as worthy to win. The artist who designed and gifted the guitar only 'hoped' it would make an appearance. I am so glad Iam used it in this video. Knowing every strum of that guitar releases happy memories of his dad.

I completely agree that judges should keep their personal opinions to themselves. This was something Simon Cowell and Pierce Morgan used to do on BGT. Totally agree, judges should not be outwardly partial. Like you, when I first heard just the first stanza of this song, I knew for sure he was gonna win. I can see this song being played or sang in many a funeral from now on.
