You can feel the tension between them in this episode -- I think we've all had shit days when travelling when stuff goes wrong, but that's the point of the budget bike battle. If you wanted to get there on time you could have taken the GS. I hope the light and fun banter returns in the next episodes.

Soooo interesting. I had that year Hornet, in red too and it had huge tank slappers if I took my hands off the bars. With new tyres it was fine for a while but eventually it returned. I also had the vacuum pipe issue on that damn bike! Ride safe dudes!

I really enjoy your budget battles. I'm here in the USA so the prices here a substantially different. Your budget of 1500 is almost 2k US and you can get a ok riding bike for that. Your first battle I watched was the gsxr vs zx7r and I loved it. Zx7 is my second favorite bike from the late 90's early 2000's. I'm in my mid 40's now so I'm all about the cruisers now days but I still miss my 916 and 748 but, I'm to fat for one now. Keep up the battles and you got a new subscriber.

I like what you guys are trying to do and I loved the last two budget bike battles. I will say I think you have missed the line a bit with this one. Part of the reason it was so fun watching the old ones is because the bikes you were riding were genuinely desirable bikes, in their times, and can now be found for cheap but are still kind of amazing. I feel like these bikes don't quite get there since they were never that desirable to begin with. At least for me.

Tbh the engine, gearbox etc are fine with these budget bikes. Only trouble is getting the fuel to the engine. Lesson learned, just change out the fuellines, check the tank/fueltap (Done for a few euros) after you buy an Old used bike Learned that lesson myself as well, when i bought a GS500e(:
