Hahahaha, I thoroughly enjoy this!! Your Yiddish and this recipe looks good. I used to add bay leaves and I’d eat the stuffed cabbage over mashed potatoes. Yummm!!! Keep the content coming!! Good job!!!

In Hungary, we make it with a whole head of fermented cabbage (savanyú káposzta, Sauerkraut), not raw cabbage. Freezing it won't impart it the tart and rich fermentation goodies.

Technically better to make both separately. Usually eat at a seudah when washing...was wondering why I wasn't sure of the Brocha. Riki I'm a new fan. Love that it's in Yiddish. I make it very similar but my husband is sefardi background I'm one of thr only ones who loves all the Ashkenazi delicacy. Such good memories of growing up. The excitement of Yom Tov treats!!
