What do you think of the direction change of the single player since FM5?

Not a fan myself. It seems more like a series of mediocre single races that have little to do with one another and don't help the player experiences the range of cars and tracks they should be experiencing. It also seems to get fairly boring going through the single player "career", because it doesn't feel at all like a career. In this new FM, the career mode is basically like setting up random single player races but without as much fun.

It's a disaster in every single aspect but somehow won goty. The videogame industry is mess, it's not just racing games. Personally, this is one of the most disappointing games I've played in a long time because I really wanted it to be good, the genre needed it.

I'm a bit disappointed with it at the moment but I think it has a lot of potential, and compared to the Call of Duty franchise is less of a let down. The last version of Modern Warfare II has burned me completely on COD games, and I think the latest one (MWIII) is even worse.

@@311Gryphon I think you could give COD more of a pass when you consider they still have to release a game every 2 years and now have to give resources to a GaaS with Warzone while Forza had 6 years (that's PD time) and still dropped the ball on the most basic things like fixing the Silvia's car model from Forza 2. They threw word salad and technical jargon, to get people to buy the game...they need to do better all around.

@@ClarenceThompkins That's not a bad point but the only reason COD pushes games out that often is to squeeze more coin from the peasants. This last game was an absolute embarrassment. There isn't much new game there. It's like they did a small DLC update and then charged everyone full price for it. Those games are so bad I can't bring myself to give them any passes, especially since Warzone is one of the things I hate most about it. But, you do make a good point...I'm just being stubborn.

@@311Gryphon to be honest Forza was doing the same with with horizon and motorsports taking turns. I'm not saying fundamentally Forza is worse than MW2, I'm saying technically it is by releasing buggy, unfinished, leaving in exploits from previous games then punishing the players for using said exploit. COD knows their core player base plays online, and warzone is their bread and butter, why? Because previous COD games hardly any completed the campaign. I just checked the stats 53 percent was the stats for OG MW and MW2 nothing else score above 50 with some going as low as 23% All that to say Forza needs another six years to produce a better game.

@@ClarenceThompkins You are absolutely right about the campaign completion percentages. I think that's more because of the addictive nature of online play and the garbage campaigns they've put out, but it is still true. But those games are BUGGY. I also just hate the fact that I have to install Warzone and other game modes that I'm never going to play just to play the campaign and multiplayer. But anyway, those are two different styles of game as well. I can definitely say that if Forza Motorsport was going to take 6 years to develop a new game, it should have looked quite a bit differently than the last version did and it should be less buggy. In that regard you're perfectly correct.

I played Forza 7 on an XBox 1 and an older TV and played this on my PC. I wasn't sure if the visuals were thanks to my PC being a bit older or if they were really not good so I couldn't really form an opinion on it.

@@311Gryphon Yeah that is understandable, and nah the visuals are still horrible even on high-end PC's. If you're interested, just search for "Forza Motorsport Trailer vs game comparison" on youtube. It's blatant false marketing and alot of people are boycotting the game right now due to many issues but also the lack of communication from Turn10's side. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed your video. Don't stop playing the game if you're enjoying it :)

Is there single player replay ability with different car options or are we limited with car choices?

There is some single player replay ability, in the regard that you can set up your own races however you want. You can go back and replay the career race sets that are prebuilt as well, as long as they are still available. There are some cars you'll probably never race in the prebuilt races, but you can race anything you want in free mode.

No mention of the new handling physics? I feel like they knock that out the park. This game is gonna be a slow bake for Turn 10.

I honestly feel like the handling is only slightly better than FM7. I do think it is improved and I should have mentioned it...but I don't think it's a huge improvement.

Yes, because with terrible AI and no head tracking first person is a good way to hate your life. LOL.
