I don't like that the parts themselves are level locked. I think just being restricted by the budget of your car points would have been enough. That's my ONE issue with the game so far, that and one very iconic track not being in the game at release.. Besides that. They've done a beautiful job finally giving us a new motorsport after all these years.

I agree with part of what you said. I feel that higher level upgrades like race parts should be level locked to a certain level along with drivetrain and motor swaps and maybe aspirations

I think the reason for the new leveling system is because the last several games they made have had “game breaking” money glitches and this is their way of fixing it 🤣

@@anonymous5072 I would agree, except they are pretty big ticket items, being anywhere from 2-5k cp. For the cost you would have to make significant sacrifices for them in other areas early into the car leveling process, still making it a reasonably balanced progression scale, while allowing players freedom to build how they want, rather than how the game dictates. I'm all for a little bit more restriction than we've previously had, it does make things more interesting than just "buy and build" but, I think the cp restriction would have been plenty. Level locked parts honestly just feels infuriating to me already.

In the initial trailer reveal for this game, they had two FD cars drifting around a track. It was only a split second, but you definitely saw the back of two drift cars. I want to say one was Chris Forsberg's 370Z, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Definitely is going to happen, though. Rally racing is also coming at some point, that has also been confirmed.

Its still so janky that I have to run the car with a crappy clutch until I can get the clutch upgrades. Makes fast shifting almost impossible and heel toe too when stock. Plus that DCT race cars that do not use a clutch still for some reason need one. Beam and AC have figured that out ten years ago but not FM? I'm still growing to like the game but so many little issues with wheel racing that need to be sorted.

A very major thing they gotta do is make it so you can actually preview paintjobs like the old days instead of having to download the same thing multiple times from as many different people as you can until you find one thats good enough. And having upgrades level locked should hopefully deter kids n trolls from griefing

If you get to full lock hold clutch in and you will spin back forward. Also always slam a gear down on entry if your doing a high angle. Initiate clutch in with slight brake to hold line do not touch the wheel until you reach the angle you want then clutch kick to hold it then normal controlling of your drift(don't clutch kick full lock just let the car come back to comfortable angle with the mentioned holding of the clutch in. OR you can try to throttle control your way around the corner) also Slap get extremely used to left foot braking. Clutch gameplay is extremely involved. I wish you luck!! Hope this can help

If you really want to bring out the feel of the rear end, focus on mechanical trail. I have a whole video tutorial on the settings if you are interested into getting into the nitty gritty. I would imagine for drifting, you really want control of the rear. With nothing but mechanical trail (and steering alignment), I was able to throw a GT car into slides at will and recover like it was on rails. Pneumatic lowers FFB with traction loss, taking away steering alignment when the rear steps out. And yeah, damper really slows countersteering with heavy wheel weight.

I figured out the transmission feeling, stock cars u cant flat shift them or shift them really fast u have to hold the clutch botton in until the car is in the gear then u can release unless u have an upgraded transmission like sport or race, race being the better one where u can instant shift the car without grinding

I got the game to but notice the same thing on my sim.. When using the cluch peddle it's about a .5 to change gear to engage.. for faster shift tike ull have to upgrade the clutch and transmission on the cars that really fixed that issue

I am a fan that Engine and Drivetrain swaps are locked away at the highest tiers. I've never liked it when people just racing V8 and AWD swap literally every car, even Lambo's or Ferrari's, just to have the "meta" car. I rarely do engine swaps (and almost never drivetrain swap) unless it's something like the mk3 Supra which for some reason in Forza comes in the JDM-Only 2.0L version which is crap. For something like that I always swap in a 3.0L inline 6 like it's supposed to have, but that swap is still "realistic".

That look is common in racing games that are produced using unreal engine. I am not sure why many game developers that are using unreal engine are making their games look soft/hazy and sometimes unsharp. Maybe its artistic preference or they just dont notice it.

Personally, this might be a very unpopular opinion but I hate this grinding to get money and upgrades. I don’t want to come home to grind to possibly upgrade one car. I want to play around with the cars, upgrades, and just drive. Like assetto Corsa, I can download just about any car and any map and just drive. At the end of day it’s an arcade game so I get it.
