Performance in this game is awful ! Why does this game run do poorly when horizon runs like butter and has double or triple the performance?

I thought the same, it's a CPU bottleneck. I believe the game is poorly threaded which is a surprise since Forza Horizon 5 uses the same engine and runs much better. In the stats at the end you will see the percentage of time that the game is GPU limited is very low (particularly on GFN where the GPU is much more powerful and so a more powerful CPU is needed to keep up); this suggests a CPU or memory subsystem bottleneck.

Yes, it's a much cheaper upgrade than buying a real 4080, but people need to know if GFN Ultimate's worth it. There is more to performance than the GPU as you see in this video.

I have 12700K, 32GB, 980 Evo 1TB, and 24g 3090 trio. it runs perfectly fine on Ultra everything, with DLSS off. i get approx 70-90fps consitently. this video is rubbish.

The 12700K is much newer and faster than my CPU and faster than GFN's CPU. The video is not rubbish, it accurately presents the performance of GeForce NOW which is the point of the video.

@@playcloudpluspc not really, all it shows is that Geforce now is pretty poor too. Even if the GFN cpu is older, the 4080 should be making a significant difference on it's own. and, well, it's not. all your video shows is that the 4080 isn't up to much against a decent PC with an previous gen GPU. so your video is pointless at best.
