The problem is, they keep recycling those models instead of building new ones. Nothing in GT7 is pulled from GT6. All the models are new. Also T10 continually claimed that FM23 was built from the ground up which is an outright lie.

In the first GT7 clip everything looks so colorful and clean... visually some people would prefer that but I'm personally more into some low exposured scenes and "not that clean" tracks. Both are great in their own way tho

While i am not a Fan of this new FM nor GT7 (no PS5 also), i feel like FM is more raw in general. Something i kind of like. It is a bit more emotional. Soundscape wise for example. As a gran turismo fan since beginning... I like both games. We should appreciate that we got two good racing games, and we can master our skills in both of this games. Gran turismo through the years taught me to always aim high and never give up until something is done. S licences on gold are the only way to go.

if you squint, yeah. pause FM and take a look at the sides of tracks for instance and the cracks start showing. Not to mention at least with these generations of games, GT7's car models are all re-done from scratch to the best of my knowledge, loads of FMs cars are dated as far back as FM4 or just straight up drop-ins from the Horizon games. Hardly "built from the ground up" like Microsoft touted.

There's just this pristine and tranquil feeling to GT. As someone whos only just recently found them (grew up with predominantly NFS and forza) they feel so GOOD. Forza in the rain can look photo realistic sometimes. Both games look good, though. Forza looks more realistic, Gran Turismo looks more colorful and saturated.

Gran Turismo's look is very tidy and minimalistic. The car models look nice but they have an unrealistic shine/reflection to it, like no car driven on a track would be polished to that degree all the time, especially after a few laps. I like Forza better because everything has a more "lived in" quality to it, including the tracks. The scenery and track space just feels more alive and its something you notice while playing because it's not just something you zip by and you miss it. It's something that is going on with the entire surroundings.

Anyone going to point out the supra in GT7 has an instant shift racing trans (well every GT7 car seems to have it) vs the FM supra actually rowing through gears and the car reacts to the shifts. So expect so much to be added and changed in the near future. Including graphics, tweaks, features, VR. Not to mention the planned cars and tracks and competitions and so on...etc. Give it time to bloom into its prime, just like you gave GT7......FM is for the long haul!

FM8 seems to have been created using PC driving simulators as a benchmark, rather than GT7, which is intended to be comfortable for people who have never driven a car before, but FM8 does not shy away from the various mechanical shocks, noises, fluctuations, and instabilities that a car can have.

Lol. Nah. GT7 is far closer to the PC sims in physics. T10 need to fix a lot of issues with Forza's physics.

I've been playing GT since the og. Still love the game to this day. However, GT4 is still the best GT ever made. So I hope the next one goes back to that style. Bring back B spec and the long endurance races. The only other racing game I'll play will be Iracing, but that will be once I decide to build a better racing rig. Until then, GT7 will suit my needs just fine.

Neither are sims. Not even close. Doesn’t mean they are bad games, far from it. But take GT or Forza player and put them something like ACC with all aids off and most would be all over the place. GT lighting model still looks great after all these years. Forza M i have only played a little if but using pad as my wheel is packed away. It’s actually a lot of fun in the few career races I’ve done but it’s not a sim. I’ll keep as my pad circuit racer until I can get my wheel set up and get back on ACC. Wish they’d release iracing on console, no reason not too

@@DiscordantVice ACC to be honest as a vanilla game is mid. But with 200 mods it will be good. That's why no one plays it on consoles.

I've owned every forza since the original. Forza on average has had better sound, but this physics in the latest game is just weird. I want to like it but it's hard. And staying with your friends in multiplayer is impossible outside of private matches. The experience has changed but not all of it has been good.

Forza sounds like the car sounds were recorded inside while gt7 sounds like the Actual car

Imo I think FM really only has sound design and graphics going for it but I've never played gt7 so I can't say which is better would love to try it tho

In terms of cockpit view gran turismo is way more better in terms of dynamics and the feel of being inside the car while the chase view Forza nails it better for the feel of the car

What? They can't even model most of the cars correctly and the colors are awful and not accurate to the real world counterparts in FM. Not to mention the broad lack of detail in the car models overall. The only thing FM edges out on is environmental details which still took a major downgrade. Not to mention GT7 is still a PS4 game at its base which is embarrassing for FM.

Ah yes, a sim racer whose launcher is so bad that the community made their OWN launcher. A sim racer that requires hours spent modding to get the features that gt7 and fm7 have. I love assetto but damn this meat riding is getting annoying.

Forza Motorsport feels more gritty and more real imo. The sounds even sound more raw and meaty, it’s strange but I think I prefer FM here
