Very fair review. I've just bought a Grant skeleton and I love it. For me, it's pleasingly understated and sophisticated, compared to the more garish and blingy offerings. A lot of watches seem to be designed for teenage boys who sit in front of their games console, imaging that they are hard assed navy seals. There seems to be a fair amount of unfair snobbish hate directed at Fossil but they are quite large and not for the skinny, limp wristed.

Well tx for the review and info! Got one for xmas. I wanted the military S5. Its gone. AOS. MIA. Good! The silver case on black dial and brown strap is rare online. I have a few watches. Wanted a ''2020'' automatic to go with a 1942 Eterna Challenger and 1975 USSR one. With skeleton. Its silent! Aligned movement to the tee. Luminescent dots btw. I have 55mm clunkers, big plastic ones and big wrists. No problem. 76 grams. And the 1900 retro look is amazing! Id compare the quality to Diesel. Fossil is 4th biggest watch cie in the world.

Just bought one on prime day for 115 after tax and it's only "unreasonably big" on small wrists. I had to swap for a Barton extra long band and it fits well for a big wrist Edit: the only thing I miss is lume on the hands

hi I'm not a watch expert friend. Could you please tell me how this watch is holding up? Has the crystal scratched? metal rusted? Movement busted? I'm planning on buying it for a longer usage. That's why
@FeelingsChat3 жыл бұрын
Crystal is scratched it’s mineral crystal with hardness of 6-7 so you will get scratches compared to a higher end sapphire crystal. Movement works fine miyota is a workhorse movement, time accuracy and smoothness can’t be expected at this price point. Overall I think this is a great entry piece if you like mechanical watches with a small budget!

Better to buy an Orient Automatic watch. They have the same price and are much more collectable. If you don't eant it anymore you can sell them at the same price you bought them.
@panblue433 жыл бұрын
Hi! I think the fossils with myota movement is better than orien automatic because if the orient has problem-the parts and repair is more complicated and not get easy.If I'llbuy automatic I will choose a "citizen" one.But now only eco-drives 👍😉

Hi the crown of this watch can be pulled to one position only right? Im wondering if you can pull it twice out.
@FeelingsChat3 жыл бұрын
correct only once, this is a time only watch, there's no date function. The 24 hour sub-dial you see on the side is just a am/pm indicator that matches the main time.

Do you think it is necessary to buy a watch wonder? Or how did you do in your case? Do you Know about the power reserved?
@FeelingsChat5 жыл бұрын
A watch winder would cost as much as the watch, so I don't see the point of that. The watch has a power reserve of ~40 hours, so you'll have to wear it on a semi-daily basis to keep it wound. I will note this watch does have winding functionality, so you can wind the watch on days you do not wear it if you are concerned with resetting the time. It keeps +/- 10 seconds a day time anyways, so you'll be having to reset it on a monthly basis anyways to keep good time.

Hey, do you wind it on a daily basis? If worn for a day does it have power reserve to last approx next 24 hours?
@FeelingsChat2 жыл бұрын
38 hours power reserve I believe, I do not wind it daily since I have too many watches I just reset when I need to wear. If you wear it everyday you’ll be fine putting it down for 1.5 days

@@leothomsonltc that watch is damaged then and needs servicing, because the power reserve on that model should be 35 hours . A fossil watch is not worth servicing though since you can just buy a new one for a bit more

@FeelingsChat4 жыл бұрын
No, I believe the resistance is 5atm maybe even 3atm. Which is good enough to maybe wet while washing your hands, but don't take a shower with this guy! You need at least 100m water resistance to do that, unless it's a screw down crown maybe. 50m is okay.
