Fossil Falls BLM Recreation Site and Campground
Exit off Hwy 395 South of Lone Pine CA
From the Fossil Falls Trailhead it is an easy hike to the Fossil Falls lava rock canyon overlook. The unique lava flow landscape is a truly beautiful sight!
Be prepared with the proper gear to safely hike into and around the canyon.
Or stay on the hiking trail toward Little Lake Overlook for the amazing views!

I believe it's actually closer to Ridgecrest than it is to Lone Pine. Lone Pine's actually closer to Manzanar.

I referenced Lone Pine because Hwy 395 runs through town. I've never been to Ridgecrest but looks like it's close to the 395.
