Honestly no disrespect to anyone and I think every watch brand has something to offer given the price , hint hint . But having that said . I have many brands but fossil watches are my go to brand for the past 15 years. This video only proves how fossil is great , Showering , sports and extreme rough use and it's still going with only the band to change. What's great is for only between 100 and 200$ you get a great quality fashion watch that can last for 10 years or more depending on the use and hey ! Its inexpensive and you get to buy a new one which is exciting ! . If anyone thinks paying 100 to 200$ or even more is allot for a watch then there not being realistic . There are watch brands that cost way more and dont hold up to fossil . I'm looking forward to fossils swiss brand ! With saphire christal and swiss movement!

The thing I like about fossil watches, is that they are at a good price for what they are compared to other fashion brands , and they have good customer service. And taken properly, my mum has a very old watch that still looks brand new. Their design is also distinct from other fashion brands that tries to copy other luxury watches.

Do you have any recommendations regarding the Fossil Copeland Stainless Steel Quartz Watch with Leather Strap? I love how it looks, and it seems to be a decent price with great reviews on Amazon, but some watch reviewers on youtube don't love it. I can't decide if I should buy it- I currently don't wear any watch, but looking at my phone to see the time every time feels annoying. Are there other watches in the same price range that look as good? I'm specifically talking about the design of the blue face, silver body, brown strap watch. Thanks if you can answer!

Watches should be an extension of you, if you love the way it looks and are gravitating towards it. Then I’d say buy it, if you like the way it feels the. That’s what you go with. I’ve had many different watches/ brands and honestly I prefer Fossil, they are a tough, beautiful and adorable watch.
@Microwave4142 жыл бұрын
I'd say get a solar or kinetic watch if you're going to go down the quartz route so battery replacement is something you don't think about. Other then that I'd get an automatic. The due fact that fossil was able to do what they did and not tell you to buy a new watch, that's actually pretty good.

The wonderful thing about Fossil NATE JR watches, the Fossil Arkitekt FS-4154 black ion-plated digital watch, the Fossil Abacus AU-4008 radio-control watch and the Fossil JR4156 Dual Time digital watch is that they all are large, heavy, stainless steel watches that feel great on the wrist because they feel substantial compared to lighter weight, smaller watch case watches and have large, easy-to-read digital display screens and (in terms of the JR NATE series of Fossil watches) large analog dials! Also, the Fossil JR4156 Dual Time Digital watch has a 2-numeral year indicator. Many digital watches (e.g., the Hamilton Pulsar OLED watch) lack a year indicator. From what I have been able to determine, the Fossil Abacus AU-4008 watch is, unfortunately, the only radio-control watch that Fossil has ever manufactured. They really should have made black ion-plated versions of that watch and the JR4156 Dual Time digital watch.
@arccway Жыл бұрын
It sounds like you appreciate the design and features of the Fossil NATE JR, Fossil Arkitekt FS-4154, Fossil Abacus AU-4008, and Fossil JR4156 watches. The large, heavy stainless steel construction, easy-to-read digital displays, and substantial feel on the wrist are qualities that you find appealing. While it would have been nice to see black ion-plated versions of the Fossil Abacus AU-4008 and JR4156 Dual Time digital watches, it's important to note that watch manufacturers often release different variations and models based on market demand and design choices.
@michaelbarlow6610 Жыл бұрын
@@arccway Yes I am aware that if a watch is not hugely successful in terms of sales, then a watch manufacturer will not likely release a black ion-plated version of a silver watch. It is interesting, however, that as best as I can determine, the Fossil Arkitekt FS-4154 black ion-plated digital watch was introduced by Fossil in 2006 and the silver version (which is the Fossil Arkitekt FS-4155) was introduced the next year in 2007. Usually, watch manufacturers will release a black ion-plated version of a watch only after the silver version has been released to the watch market first because it costs more for a watch manufacturer to make a black ion-plated watch because of the extra expense of ion-plating the silver metal surface of the watch casing, bracelet, clasp and operating buttons. Interestingly, the FS-4155 watch has a "flip" feature in which if the watch wearer takes off the watch and reverses it so that the name "Fossil" faces away from the watch wearer, an alternate time zone appears on the display screen - but who wants to have to take a watch off his or her wrist and reverse it in order to view an alternate time zone!????

@michaelbarlow6610 Жыл бұрын
@ Gogo. How can any watch battery last 19 years without needing to be changed? Even a digital watch's battery will run out of energy after 2-3 or 4 years even if you never press the button to illuminate the display screen - unless, of course, it is a Casio Data Bank watch which utilizes a 10-year battery.

Did you by any chance have the battery replaced? If the person putting the new battery in didn’t reseal it properly and coat the O~ring with the sealer they are supposed to use then thats why its fogging up. Once the seal is broke it cant be resistant to moisture like its supposed to be. I had that same issue with my relic “Olivia” i purchased in 2017. It had nothing to do with the watch rather the worker who did the battery replacement not knowing the proper steps.

We bought one of these for an uncle who really needed a new watch but we had all set a budget for gift value to keep the family harmony if you know what I mean! Anyway he loves it. It's very nice but generally I think it's far better if you're spending money on yourself to go for something like a Seiko 5 Sports or equivalent Orient, excellent automatic movements, 24 jeweled high quality pieces from historic watch companies. Seiko are going since 1888, longer than Rolex. Of course you can spend many thousands on a Grand Seiko, but for 200 to 300 you can get a Seiko 5 that honestly looks 10 times more expensive. If you're going to buy a watch, buy a watch brand, not a fashion brand. These watches generally use cheap movements and are assembled under contract in China. If you buy a good watch brand it will keep it's value and even increase. Buy a Fossil, Michael Kors, Daniel Wellington, Filipo Loretti, Vincero, Valuchi and the like and you might as well just throw it away when you buy a new one. They are well marketed rubbish. Just my opinion. Having said all that, we bought one, but if buying for yourself save some extra money and buy a real watch.
@TD12372 жыл бұрын
Tbh a cheap plastic watch from a random shop on the streets will be a better purchase than a Seiko (or Fossil). Because it's cheap and gets the job done. Many people such as myself gravitate towards more expensive watches for the looks, and Fossil's the best looking affordable brand in my eyes. Couldn't care less about impressing people (regular folks or watch enthusiasts) and my plastic watch is holding up well. That's why we'll spend extra on a nice watch that looks and feels great, expresses one's characteristics and allows you to form an emotional connection to it. No other brand has come close to Fossil in that regard, to me that is.

I own a few Seiko's as well as a Bambino. I like them but *MUCH* prefer my Fossil watches. I've had them for longer and they're all running fine (they're automatics, one with a Chinese and one with a Seiko movement). I hardly wear the Seiko's despite having bought them more recently. They're just so lifeless and insipid in comparison. Even my friends agree that the Fossil's stand out more in the collection. If I want to impress a watch nerd (not that this would ever happen irl), the Seiko's/Orient will come in handy. But when it comes to wearing what I like, I always go with the Fossils and will probably buy more at a later date. They look and feel great, especially for the price.

@TD12372 жыл бұрын
@@ChromeMan04 I own a Seiko and a Fossil. So because Seiko uses a movement the community likes they're better? Fossils have no plastic either and usually use movements from Seiko or Miyota nowadays (in their automatics I mean). I mean if someone's superficial and concerned about brand (or afraid of showing a 'fashion watch' to watch snobs) then Seiko would indeed be better. Fossil, imo, beat them when it comes to aesthetics. Also, faaar better customer service. So that's why people buy them.
