I must admit, Tommy is definitely the funnest and most beautiful monkey I have ever seen. Truly! The tipping of his little head and those eyes. I have fallen in love. I've only watched your documentary for a month or so. It's great. Nothing like the macaques. No kidnapping and torture. I know I will love every moment of your program. Thanks for loving them.

Heather Weaver I know I was thinking the same thing....i know this is an older video but I like to go back and rewatch sometimes. Lol I was cracking up watching her lipsmack as she was trying to get her hands on the babies....every time they would slip past her the lipsmacks where even bolder...as a mom I felt her pain but it still brightened my day thinking about my kiddos when they where lil ones and super feisty just like lil monkeys 🐵! I'm so glad you posted the link for the tee shirts i was looking all over for them even on the vmf website. Thank you ...and for another great film. You capture the real dynamics of how vervets think feel process and heal...these are my favorite video posts...something so healing even to the human spirit to see love and acceptance FILL an impossible void that can only be filled by one unmanufactured priceless yet so perfectly LOVINGLY supported...that unique each need one of a kind that missing PUZZLE piece that seems to appear time and time again in that healing place and all the positive loving spirits who bring the most powerful unselfish environment to make it happen ...the tireless givers the guardians of all that is good in all of us..every living being...not all endings are happy ones, but some endings are so unexpectedly joyful and truly telling that no matter who what or where we are we are all one...and that oneness in all the differences from feathers to gills to skin to fur wings to fins and antennas to HORNS to talons to webby ducky feet to hands to paws..we are all bound in love..love and comfort belonging and happiness these are the common threads that bind us so beautifully in this tapestry of life...deep sigh..I cannot begin to tell you how grateful i am to have stumbled upon vervet monkey foundation videos years and years ago now...I have not missed one post and I am looking fwd to coming to volunteer here within next 2 years. Still raising last of 6 children and once she is graduated from us and set up in her college I will be on my way. Not too far away, time wise. Sending big hugs and lipsmacking and grooming for a minute HUGGING to my chest and then letting u go play. Oh btw I lipsmack at my kids and they crack up, the teenager thinks I'm nuts but the grown kids get it and do it back to me!

Aw the foster moms are so beautiful and awesome! I love that! It was like the penguins when they transfer the egg. It’s so crazy how the dad holds the egg up off the freezing ground the whole time. They walk and everything with the egg. While the mom is gone eating. It’s just sad when the moms get back and something happened like a snow storm and the dad doesn’t have the egg. It’s so sad.

Love you videos…very professional with good camera angles, superior editing and use of zoom. I watch them for a perspective of the monkeys and as a nature background in my home. I enjoy well scripted and informative narration, but watch the volume level in editing, often comes through very loud compare d to the back ground. I would prefer if you activated closed captioning. There was lots of indistinguishable cross talk that detracts from the otherwise exceptional experience. Perhaps a short side stories on worker profiles or different monkey sounds as a small part of the experience. Kyle is an enthusiastic and charismatic spokes person. I hope to come visit someday. Cheers!

So What do you feed the babies under the 3 month mark, before they are taken in the troupe? I know they get there milk, but do they get fed anything besides what is out in the bush? What I mean to say is, do the babies get enough to eat in the bush?

Kyle, you and everyone there at VMF do such an awesome job. I understand that you are introducing the the vervets back to an adopted troop and you follow a pattern guideline. Is this guideline, the same for other conservancies/foundations?
@VervetMonkey6 жыл бұрын
Linda from California Thanks. No, all sanctuaries are private organizations that create their own structures and systems for rehab. There are some regulatory agencies that sanctuaries strive to be a part of which have created guidelines for consistency throughout sanctuaries (such as PASA) but these guidelines do not so much reflect techniques as much as physical standards and protocol for the sanctuaries.

Cheri1 she’s very young and was sleeping. You have to remember, these videos are not in real time. I film what I can and make the episodes. During this time period she was very young and sleeping all the time, so not much to film of her. I notice a lot of your questions seem to be of concerns. Let me please attempt to set your mind at ease. I’m never trying to slip something past any of you, it’s like the old adage, “No news is good news.” Sometimes there is nothing I report and that’s just how it is.
