While the headlights aren't great you might want to make sure the're adjusted correctly. These trucks have a massive rake at stock height so after it's lifted and leveled the the lights point up. They are super easy to adjust from the top of the fender and made a world of difference on mine after it was lifted. Sick rig man!!

Power Wagons do not come with the diesel option since they'd be extremely heavy up-front (+/- 1000lbs), and not have space for the integrated winch. The way forward is to purchase a 2500 and convert it over time.

You can put a small deep cycle battery underneath the bed as your "secondary" battery setup. That way you don't lose any room inside the bed. I love the slave switch setup for all of the lights!
@FOTORNR5 жыл бұрын
Know of a good kit to do this?
@cliffweatherbee69145 жыл бұрын
@@FOTORNR there are a few kits. Most are not all inclusive. You'll need to source a battery (Preferably an AGM so you can turn it on its side), a battery mount and/or protective box, as well as probably some more wiring since you have such a big truck. Here is a link to a battery Isolator (there are others, this just happened to be the first I clicked on) 12V 140 Amp Dual Battery Isolator by KeyLine Chargers - Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) Pro Dual Battery Kit) www.amazon.com/dp/B00WTAFR5W/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_Gh05DbP203BQ3

@@FOTORNR - Since you don't have the spare mounted underneath the bed, there is a fair amount of available real estate there. You'll have to have someone fab it for you. I highly recommend Victron (Dutch) products for all charging and solar management. Most all of their products have bluetooth so you can monitor/alter what is going on. They do offer a DC-DC unit which I use to charge the house battery in my Four Wheel Camper in the bed of my Power Wagon. Also their solar controller and monitor.

You’ve got to explain how you wired the LP9s for hi/lo function. I’m holding off purchasing these in amber combo until I find a good three way switch and use twin KC HIDs 70W pods in the center. Thanks. I really don’t trust myself to wire hi and low to my factory aux switches separately and fry the board on the lights. The sports might be an option but I like the backlighting of yours and I’d probably use the low spread beam most often.

Look into a set of Morimoto LED headlamps. They’re a little pricey, but so are BD lights :) They are a direct plug n play. You can also run them with an amber DRL if you’d like
@FOTORNR5 жыл бұрын
Hmm from what I saw, it wasn't a direct PNP - which made me, meh. Otherwise they are pretty sweet! Send me a link?
@Defender_Tom5 жыл бұрын
FOTORNR if you want the DRLs to be amber, that will take modifications, but not if you keep them white. all you have to do for install is unplug a harness from the new headlamps since you have OEM projectors and not OEM reflectors. Once you unplug that harness it all plugs straight in. No splicing, cutting, etc. 2 plugs per headlight including the fuse wire. There’s a good install video on here. Also, cheapest price I found was on eBay. Light output is amazing and worth it to me. Optional sequential turn signal is a nice feature too.

AEV forum quote " Payload is the difference between curb weight and gross vehicle weight. Gross vehicle weight shouldn't change. Your curb weight is going to increase therefore your payload will decrease an equivalent amount. The actual load limits for OTR vehicles is ultimately limited by gross axle weight and tire load capacity anyway. Not saying you should drive that way but a lot of people pull way over their vehicles rated tow capacity day-in day-out. Keep in mind that that they are driving on interstates and paved roads, not off road". AEV says "allows greater performance off-road, while also improving driver comfort and vehicle handling characteristics on the road and maintaining the factory load carrying capacity." Factory GVWR is 10K

I have the same ARE shell you had. The shell itself has held up well off-road and loaded down. But the dust is bad. I tried to use tail gate weather seals and a bed rug. Still gets dust. Thats why I do not keep my Dometic in the bed. I'm not sure if the dust will ruin the compressor.
@donleamon86535 жыл бұрын
@@kg2995 - Yup, I tried to seal the gate and had a Bedrug in too (still do under the FWC). I did boot the front to the cab so that the pooches could ride in the back and have some airflow from the cabin, but the boot wasn't the problem. As to the fridge. Don't worry about it. All compressors are totally sealed units. The only thing that will happen is dust/hair can build up on the condenser coils, but that will happen wherever you have the fridge. On my ARB it is pretty simple to used compressed air to blow it out once a year.
