Fouad has the “job-as-identity”-belief. A person’s identity however consists of many layers and parts. Fouad is for example a “meat eater”, that’s a label of identity, even though his occupation has nothing to do with eating meat (he’s not an eating competitor for example). A person who bodybuilds is “a bodybuilder”, regardless of occupation. A person who runs every morning is “a runner”, regardless of occupation. It’s like saying Guy is “a screamer”, even though his occupation doesn’t involve screaming (well, maybe it does…).

I have broke my right hand 5 times when I was boxing in my prime and I was almost 100% functional with my left strictly due to all the years I spent throwing jabs and punches boxing. About the Bodybuilder discussion. Imo you´re a Bodybuilder when the sport takes the majority of your life or if everything in your life has to work for that ambition. For an instance, if someone doesn't compete but you have to schedule activities around that persons training or even if he doesn't even eat a piece of birthday cake when he's invited because he has to stick to his plan, so basically literally his whole existence is in sync with the sport you can only call that person a bodybuilder. The competing part is in my opinion in contrast to the whole lifestyle close to irrelevant. Fouad has actually a good story about it when he quit jobs who didn't really work with his training and eating schedule. The problem wasn't he would´ve not been able to attend shows, the problem was it didn't work with the lifestyle. That for example was the decision of a Bodybuilder and if I remember correctly he didn't even compete at that point. I mean lets be honest if you do in the gym and the kitchen the exact same stuff as an active pro like Iain for example, you´re not doing a completely different sport. Also only in case someone takes it that way, I don't say that to justify calling myself a Bodybuilder haha

1:27:40 in my opinion there is a couple ways to look at this, No. 1 - a buidbuilder is someone eats the diet and trains consistently and has for at least 2 years AND has a structured plan to get on stage. (Not that dude that trains for while and says they want to compete.) Or No. 2 - you distinguish that the example No. 1 is someone who ’bodybuilds’ but is not referred to as a ’bodybuilder’ until they have competed.

There are variations to the rear double bi that have pro's and con's... Hips completely tucked - glutes will be fully contracted/detailed, as will hams, but you lose adductors and sometimes if too tucked, itll round the lower back and flatten out your lat insertions Hips completed 'popped' - glutes will be stretched and not as detailed, but the lower back will be tighter and adductors will pop If youre skilled enough, you can achieve both... most guys just go too far in either direction.
