Last 2 years of the C1 first generation Corvette had the restyled “boot tail” rear end, very similar to but not the same as that used on the C2 Corvette Stingrays, ‘63-‘67. Another little bit of trivia on the ‘62 model, it was the first year for the new 327 V8. The ‘63 had the exact same SHP engine options, the 327/340 hp carbureted version and the 327/360 hp “fuelie”.

Cool adventure...I remember when my boyfriends 78 Silver Anniversary Vette was in pieces when he had the frame sandblasted....his buddy that was fixing it had all his car parts in boxes everywhere in his shop.....then got arrested for something or another...we had to go into the shop & try to find all the pieces to take to another shop. Ah man he was devastated. That was 20+ years ago thought and happy to share it was put back together perfectly! Still has it, and it runs like a beast! He's the original owner, and it has less than 10,000 original miles. Absolute Beautiful car!

Nice Holy Grail of a find. The infamous 1962 Chevrolet Corvette. My all time favorite of Corvette 🏁 I would love to see the rebuild on this awesome find. You should have kept the small block V8 even though its not the correct engine it could still be date code acceptable for a rebuild. Its still good to keep for other adventures. Im viewing from TAMPA BAY FLORIDA USA 💪🇺🇸💪 not far from Sarasota. ☕☕☕☕☕☕☕
