The Neca Batman; at the time they tooled up that figure despite not having the specific license to make a movie figures so they sold it at retail in the Nintendo deco…. I had no idea you might’ve been the guy to create the design for that death lock. It is still one of my favorite figures to have ever had. I was such a fan of the character in the 90s it was the first time he looked just like I wanted him to straight out of the comic book. That Was great work

I was all in on Hasbro Black Series, but just as Bobby points out, the chronic penny-pinching (lack of accessories, lack of paint, price increase, etc) has caused me to abandoned the line, and Hasbro in general.
@Punisher3-166 ай бұрын
Not only as far as Legends, but one thing that really bothers me about Hasbro is how there is never a middle ground with their Child-Targeted lines. It is either: 4 inc figures with 1 single accesory and maybe 1 vehicle for the line Or 12 inch figures with the equivalent movement of a brick. How can Hasbro have the audacity of saying they have to cut more and more investements from their toys if they *purposely* make stuff that kids would get bored with? The X-Men 97' line kinda breaks the mold by having 4 inch mutants and 12 inch Sentinels to go with, but i wouldn't blame kids for being hesitant after the years of damage done by Marvel's Titans Series. Hasbro's only hope is that kids still give it a chance because Titan Series is more associated with the MCU stuff from 5 to 8 years ago so now it is a different generation of children.

The 12” Shampoo bottle figures apparently sell well overseas (for incredibly cheap). At least that is the claim.
@Punisher3-166 ай бұрын
@@andrewtaylor940: I live in Central America so i can tell you from daily experience, neither of those claims are true. Titan Series is clogging the shelves in my country. Stuff from Endgame, Wakanda Forever, The Eternals, and even Spider-Man. Not only they aren't cheap, but rather are overpriced due to shipping fees. Titan Series are roughly 20 dollars at the very least and stores never put them on clearance because they think Marvel can sell just on name alone. Due to the line being overpriced from the get-go, it becomes even more overpriced internationally to the point of reaching Marvel Legends pricing. Everyone that works on Hasbro's financing department needs a reality check.

That whole penny issue sucks. It sucks that corporations are like that. I dealt with the same thing when it came to something as little as purchasing something this quarter or the next. That 7" Neca 89 Batman was hard to come by mostly due to it being an extra with a Diamond luxe editon blu ray of the movie. That's the only way they could release the figure in those colors in that scale. Nice to see someone appreciate Legends of Batman. So many people shit on that line, but it was a big deal for the day. Finally, we got figures that looked accurate to characters in the comics. We've come a long way since, but that line was groundbreaking.

Transformers currently running legacy line has given us beautiful figures, but there are some that, although are beloved by fans, were reused of other molds of different ones. Their beyblade line for burst was terrible when it ended. It didn’t compare at all from the Japanese products. The price range didn’t match with it either. Glad it’s over now.
