I live in Europe and the V8F is perfect for city commuting. The axis breaks quite easily when crashed, but beside that it is a solid product.

5 of us in our groups of riders have V12s. 4 of us have had our wheel cut out on us within a year of purchase. I'm the only who didn't hurt himself because I happened to be going slow and stopped as soon as I heard a warning and set it on the ground while smoke started coming out of it. It's being repaired at the moment. 2 have V11s which have stopped working after charging, and needed to be accessed remotely by Inmotion to get them going again. At least they didn't get hurt. Our experience with the V10s have been solid and reliable.

I've loved riding the V12HT, but if you are going to post a video boasting safety, you should take into account that people like me may wish to take the opportunity to communicate contradictory experiences, and not just a one off incident. Also, the backlight on the V12 is not at all visible, in terms of safety. But, like I said, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, and hopefully when it's repaired I will be able to keep enjoying it some more. I also hope that with any future wheels, when you do discover any design or manufacturing flaws, that you do an even better job at fixing them when you release later batches. I am looking forward to seeing what you will come out with next, as the V13 is too big and expensive for my personal liking, although it does look like a fantastic wheel in its own right.

I appreciate that InMotion puts such a focus on dependability and quality. That's why I look to InMotion first when looking for an EUC. My highest priorities are: 1. Safety & reliability 2. Cost 3. Waterproofing 4. Distance I don't really care about speed at all. I usually keep it under 25mph, so the more expensive, faster wheels just don't appeal to me. I have a family to worry about. I can't be riding at 50+mph on a unicycle.

They have one of highest defect rates though lol. The reliable and safe reputation only come from the V8 and V10 series which also happened to be their top sellers and were most of their customers are

@@CrunchyTire Yeah unfortunately they have had a lot of reliability issues with different batches. I haven't heard of too much from the most recent batch though, and I haven't seen any issues with my V11 yet... (knock on wood.) The reliability issues were the one thing that almost made me not buy my V11. InMotion still got my business because they ticked all of the other boxes, and it seemed like the kinks had been ironed out.

As much as I love Begode performance, safety and quality should always be first. I know Begode performance is like a drug, but I think we as a community need to take it responsibly. It is refreshing to see Inmotion take a safer approach and catch up or even beat Begode performance. Let the race continue, it's just great ! However I had bad experience with the v11, when I dumped hard over a curb, a few times the unit shut itself off, and there is no way to restart the unit, unless you plug the charger into the unit. That was just annoying, as I had to push the unit back home from far. This happened a few times, and that's something about Begode's simplicity wins. So yes, balance safety / quality with usability as well.

My v10f is like a tank, amazing product 5000km of neverfailing joy! But my v12hs purchased new 2 months ago is already going for the third driverboard, sored anckles and ribs on the process, so, the third driverboard will magically solve the issue, thanks for being your crach test dummy, love the v12 if it works..

I find this incredibly humorous. My v12 ht bought in the last month just cut out under me going 15-20 no pedal tilt no warning sound. its been a rough couple days at work covered in road rash. Glad i was wearing full gear but my wheel is totalled, at least it has a warranty... But my faith wont be so easily repaired

Sadly I've had a shutdown which half destroyed my faith in them but I got back on my broken wheel less than a week after getting out of the hospital because I believe in progress and not letting falls keep me down. We are all a part of the process. From manufacturer to customer. Loved this video.

It's good to see InMotion breaking through the common but justifiable perception of products made in China. It means that an InMotion EUC is likely to be my first. That is if InMotion can produce a safe, durable, wet weather proof, agile EUC with good battery life, performance, and suspension for commuting around Christchurch City here in New Zealand. Yeah, I'd be interested.

I have a V8 from 2015 with 11k km driven on it(nothing changed then the tire) and it still works okish, had to resort the battery's bc there wasnt active balanceing on the battery cells, but now the issue is resolved on v13

I think the most dangerous part of going fast is ppl get complacent, sitting in a cushy cabin with ac probably does not help. Being on a single wheel you are kind of forced to be aware at all times

i almost got a v12hs but that was when the mosfets were bad and i didn't want to deal with the motherboard on it so i settled with a ks 16x and i really wish i waited for the v12 to be fixed because it looks soooo good

I just had recently 16x motherboard burn down from freespin, replaced for free by shop i bought it from, but 16x is not immune, mileage was at 670 km when it happened.

@@VECTOR_Coasters you can freespin a 126V v13, if something burns out it's covered by warranty, because it has protection to stop it, and if it burns out from freespin that means protection didn't work.

Great interview with bob, inmotion has the best technology & production but like every other EUC manufacturer they focus on performance,but what is performance without control all wheels are becoming larger,heavier,faster but the ergonomics are very minimalistic…..what’s power without control,when you have control you have the power!!

The correct pressure is indicated on each tyre. It is therefore important to follow this information.

Now I’m worried because I just ordered the V12 for my husband for an anniversary present. I gave him the V11 for Christmas two years ago and it’s awesome so I purchased a V11 for myself. He wanted the V12 for more range but now I hear about cutouts and I’m worried I made a mistake.
