Kristin Scott Thomas completely out-shone Andie McDowall in this movie. This scene is a prime example. KST became my celebrity crush.

While not intending to diminish KST in any way, to outshine Andie McDowall seems the smallest of achievements to me. Never understood her place in the spotlight, or found her remotely attractive. Her career as a model and actress means that I am probably in a tiny minority in feeling that way, but I'll cop that on the chin. Just as mystifying to me as the Hollywood fixation on Molly Ringwald for a few years.
