On September 23rd, 2023, a fire broke out at 120 Garden Crescent at the intersection of Dawson Street in Dorval. Quickly upon arrival of the first due units of station 63, smoke was coming out from multiple openings of the 3 story apartment. As more units respond and arrive, they give the first alarm and gradually make their way to a fourth alarm. Later on, a code red (immediate evacuation) was given. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or serious injuries. A cat was also rescued by firefighters during the fire and seemed to be ok. It took firefighters about 5 hours to totally extinguish the fire by using aerial ladders and platform trucks to shoot water from different angles to attack the fire. You’ll also see a response of Spare Air Unit 1605(1680), an unmarked chief and a rare catch of the auxiliary fire unit 1230. Photos are available on Instagram and Facebook.
