Thank you for sharing this video. From your description of the modifications, You might be happiest if that EXT handle had the side contours of the Classic Drop Point hunter. When you mentioned the triangular shape of the handle's end, that definitely sounds like the CDPH handle's side hold.

You are 100% correct about this. I dressed a deer today and used 3 different knives, quite similar but slightly different. I keept coming back to the knife that had the best pinching grip, absolutely the best knife with the most control for me.

I bet your wife appreciates you wet sanding the handle in the bathroom sink haha! I know mine does, unless it's the kitchen sink and I've ground kitchen knives sharp again, then the annoyed feelings and gratitude cancel each other out.

Hello Sir if got a advice for you i used the Bark River White compound for years and reasently i was not able to buy it. Then i lookt for something else and saw the Silverline white compound they sell it for under 10$ and give you a 0.5kg block of it and it makes my knifes even sharper i realy recomend you to try it out and maybe you show me the difference under the microscope :) that would be great!
