Do you ever get any pike action while trying for Musky?
@tonysspotonfishing4 жыл бұрын
Devin Schulz we sure do. It seems over the last 5-7 years the pike population has grown. Not so much trophy pike but more numbers of 20-30in fish. The forage base on the river can sustain both Muskies and Pike at the same time.

Hey bud, do you know of any boat ramps on the Fox river?
@tonysspotonfishing6 жыл бұрын
Roelle Eugenio Absolutely. They’re all south and north of the Oswego/Montgomery area. In Yorkville, at Silver Springs there is a ramp. Just North of the Montgomery Dam is a boat ramp on the east side. It’s a small stretch of water to fish by boat but it can be very productive. Batavia Boat club has a ramp, also Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva. I want to say there is one in South Elgin...but I can’t remember where exactly. Then you have Boat House Marina in Algonquin. As you continue further north towards the Fox Chain O’Lakes you have more and more options. Hope that helps. Be careful running the boat out there. From Geneva on down there’s a lot of shallow spots that are hidden.

Spot on Fishing thanks so much for all the good info!! I am moving back to Chicago possibly next year and I was thinking of trying out the Fox river. I have a jet boat that I usually run on the rivers and i think that’ll help. Thanks!

Roelle Eugenio You’re welcome. Always happy to help. The jet boat is the way to go on the river. That’ll make things a lot easier.

Do you have to wade to hit the fish there? I’m not a huge fan of wading...
@tonysspotonfishing6 жыл бұрын
DrFrankensteam It makes things a lot easier. Figure 8’s as well as landing and releasing the Muskies. Lot of Muskies will follow baits in the river. Nothing like hooking one right in front of you while standing in the river. The east side is about the only area you could fish from shore as the river channel runs very tight to the shore. The west side is a nice flat but to fish it you have to wade out quite a ways. If you fish from shore on the west end you are just throwing baits into ankle/shin deep water. It’s a very safe and easy wade. In the winter months, heavy, insulated waders are a must. Thanks so much for watching!

The poor camera man is freezing!!

He absolutely was! We tried to tell him a speedo wouldn't do the trick that day, he wasn't having anything we were serving. He was right about one thing, he didn't get any frostbite.

I bet he rocked that Speedo though

Are you doing any new videos
@tonysspotonfishing6 жыл бұрын
Jack Wolcott Absolutely, or 6th season begins in 2019. Once weather stabilizes this Spring we’ll be back out filming. Prior to this true winter weather settling in, we had issues with high water and strong currents in the rivers to film and no safe ice. Now with it looking like we’ll have an ice fishing season after all, Tony is busy with his Bucktail company and the Sport Show Season. If you’re on Facebook, like and follow our page to keep up to date on when filming starts and where we’re going. Also, if you haven’t yet, subscribe to our channel here on KZbin and click the bell to turn on notifications for when new episodes launch. Thanks so much for watching!

Hard to watch. I hear a voice talking and can't make out what it's saying. Just an FYI. Thanks for taking time to make this video but it's kind of unhelpful.due to the audio quality.

amateurs... u cant catch musky standing in one spot and working the bait that fast during this time of the season
@brandynshepherd42028 жыл бұрын
You really can though...

Non stop casting... Non stop talking... I totally agree, real musky men cover lots more water. Is a 28-incher worth a whole fishing show? Those baits look pretty cool though.

A 28. Wtf. In Wisconsin it's not worth a picture till it's 45. Stop wasting people's time
