I live in the 50th state in the middle of the Pacific or Hawaii. Fortunately, on the island I live on there’s two large volcanoes that tend to break big hurricanes up when they come near us.

When we have a storm many people die after the storm as power is turned on. People walk through water and it only takes a 1/4” of water such as what your sprinklers put down in the yard and there will be shorts in the wiring which kill people. Once the power hits a person there body locks up and they are dead. The power should never be turned on immediately after a storm until the ground is dry because the power company can’t tell if there is flooding over the entire area that the electricity covers. It can simply be a person walking through their house that was only lightly flooded and only the carpet is wet. No one should walk through any levels of water including damp carpet. When the power comes on it will cost you your life

I pray that Governor DeSantis treats this storm as a national emergency or Florida State emergency, and does not politicize any of it! Peoples lives were lost, and many homes businesses were destroyed. I pray for the people that are there and or who evacuated that they can rebuild or maybe leave Florida! Unfortunately Florida has no mountains. It’s flat and so when hurricanes do come they get hammered. I live on the Big Island or Hawaii and the 2 large dormant volcanoes , Mauna Loa & Mauna Kea, are over 13,000 feet tend to break hurricanes up! For once in my opinion, governor DeSantis is acting like a governor by relaying important factual information!
