Stealing money or item is very different than circulating counterfeit. If he had just robbed the place, stole item or money from the cashier etc, the crime would stop there, the loss would stop there. But he is using counterfeit, what's more a relatively small bill. Which means the same counterfeit might be used as a change to unwitting customers too.

@@dunjun9937 "Nobody owes each other anything, that’s entitlement." Above that you stated: maybe company’s should pay more for the employees to care. The principle you exhibit through your comment is the embodiment of entitled thinking - something many Americans are plagued with. They could get paid $10 more dollars an hour, but the reality is, that's not going to magically change the work ethics of an individual. One with good moral standards always does their honest best no matter how much they're being paid. Why? Because it was the job they were entrusted with. Someone with poor principles, work ethics, and an attitude of indifference is always going to be a poor worker no matter how much they get paid. 10 bills of the same serial number? I don't think so. Most of the times it's just one bill passed on at convenience stores, pharmacy or food trucks. Plus you can see in the footage that there wasn't like a big queue or anything...and the cashier even gave a cursory glance at the bills before counting them. I mean you could miss that if they were just two or three bills. And he/they did this at multiple Walmart stores within the same week. So basically Walmart is also slow at alerting cashiers or reacting to such incidents. More about stupidity/laxity than fraud.

Why are the police even involved? Counterfeiting the last I heard was under the jurisdiction of the secret service. Back in 79 or 80 someone at the high-school copied $1 bills and was cashing them in, in the change machine at the bowling alley. They had a HUGE investigation.

I just remember them taking test copies of some sort from every copier and printer in the school and this was like 1980 so its not like printers or even copy machines were everywhere. Crazy times. But it’s only some unforgivable crime when poor people shop lift from multi billion dollar corporations. If course all theft is bad and should be prevented I just wish the corporate media agreed with that notion.
