They didn't go back from their decision either, they just reworded and reiterated what was already instated in hopes people would misunderstand and go back to the site :/

on shoplifting: I have kleptomania. It's a genuine mental illness that makes you have a compulsion to steal. You get a rush, you walk into a store and immediately start thinking where you can stash stuff. It's an *illness* that you get treatment for. These Tumblr people imo, most don't actually have kleptomania. I'm sure a few do, but I think a majority of them are just doing it because they want stuff. Kleptomaniacs steal things we don't need or even necessarily want. We feel remorse after stealing. These people, it seems like, don't. For example, MMORPG kickstarters have people who want to create a finished product but don't realize the amount of work and development hell to execute it properly. Breast milk jewelry is pretty much for women who've suffered miscarriages, stillbirths, or lost their baby to SIDS, etc, and is not really weird at all. As far as "curdling" and gross, it's not. It's also not visually decomposing, it gets dehydrated into a powder and then mixed into resin, so you just get a white shape (teardrop or heart are very popular) pendant.

Tumblr's numbers have allegedly gone up in recent days after all the stuff going on with Twitter. I would also add that Tumblr is like most other social media in the sense that it's the user who decides who to follow and what people they surround themselves with. I've been using the platform since like 2010 or 2011 and most of the people I've met and interacted with there over the years have been pretty cool, kind, and chill. Little to no drama or controversies, and when there's someone in the tags trying to start shite, they just get ignored. It really depends a lot on that as well as the fact that every person builds and curates their own internet experience regardless of the platform they're on, and this has always been a reality of internet, the problem is that people seem to have forgotten about that somehow. Also, the p*rn ban was imperfect tbh. P*rn has always been there ever since the ban was implemented, it just was more difficult to find and ran the risk to get flagged and hidden, but it's always been there.

I am an artist, too, and while in more recent times my stuff tends to get more attention on instagram whenever I post my works there, it truly feels like it lacks that sense of community in some way. It also doesn't help that stuff kinda gets buried in the tags over time without much possibility of coming back and reaching newer audiences unless you repost it since there is no real way to share works in the way like retweets on twitter or reblogs on tumblr do. The only downside I see with tumblr nowadays is that interactions overall for a lot of content creators (artists, writers and etc) seem to be on decline even before the recent "twitter exodus".

Tikal is a character from Sonic Adventure that existed in what was a Mayan-esque civilization of echidnas. She befriended the Chao and their guardian, Chaos. Okay, I am a very frequent tumblr user. In fact, i have several posts with over 1000 notes. I have such a genuine love for this hellsite and its weird history and reputation on the internet. If any of you are interested in more tumblr drama, i recommend channels like izzzysss and strange aeons who have documented a lot of significant events. This website/app has developed so many of its own inside jokes and memes that i feel confident describing it as its own culture. Its no wonder that new users dont stay for long haha you have to research like five things just to understand one joke post sometimes. Also our extreme hatred of twitter users is palpable. Also, famous users like tumblr user heritageposts (tumblr’s unnofficial historian documenting the sites history and iconic posts), one-time-i-dreamt (whos posts are constantly rbed first with extreme confusion followed by “oh i just saw the url”) and several other tumblr celebrities.

Tumblr users are actually quite old compared to other social media sites, most of people who got into it in 2014 when they were 14 are now over 20, and there are barely any new users (especially younger, because they usually just use TikTok) so the community is aging which actually turned into a joke on the site. The theft ring is still very much a thing, if not its gotten a hell of a lot bigger. Especially since after covid and the job crisis. I'm a manager at a corporate fashion retailer, and we catch at least 10 thieves a day, it's actually slowed a slight bit, but still happens. The thing is too that we don't sell essentials, just graphic tees, pants and jackets with logos on them. So it's not a alladdin situation. They're even also very aggressive now too, they come with knives, pepper spray if very common, and sometimes guns, and they'll also just try to punch you. I know people have this whole fuck giant companies thing, and in a way I agree, but when my 16, 17, 18 year old coworkers are anxious cause they've been yelled at, punched at, and threatened with violence at their jobs then its a little different. Not only that but most people don't know that if a store gets stolen from way too much, the entire staff has a danger of being replaced or the store can just straight up close down. Theft hurts in more ways than people think, yeah its a big corporate but I'm just a assistant manager, and all the people I work with are all just people trying to survive as well.

God I am a Tumblr Veteran and dear lord this barely scratches the surface of the hell site that is Tumblr. I remember the Graverobbing Witch, mostly because I was out that day and cam back to people talking about it and it was a sucker punch. I am a little sad that was not featured as it was wild. And just all the mess with fandoms that happen. Like i remember the Steven Universe fandom getting in so much trouble all the time because the fans where going a little crazy. Like people posting fake reviews to a real place because i shared a name of a location in an episode. I literally got bullied off of my first tumblr(that I had since I was 13) when I was 17 because of the Arcana fandom(the dating sim not the tv show). Sheesh, I really feel you. I was chased off there a few times as a teen for some of the dumbest bullshit. One that comes to mind was a post about autism. Someone asked why a diagnosis was necessary and I mentioned that my diagnosis helped me get individualized help in high school, vocational rehabilitation so I could get a job, and transportation assistance among other things in the nicest and least judgemental way possible. They FLIPPED the hell OUT over that, hundreds of reblogs saying that I was rich because I had that diagnosis (which I had to get through state funding). I don't remember the name of the blog, but there was a controversy a few years back with a Hamilton fan fic writer who pretended to be a PoC, HIV+ and other things I cant remember atm, just so they could claim that it was okay for them to be writing about certain topics. Frisk is literally only stated to be a child by monsters, who say as such because (direct quote) "I can tell because you are wearing a striped shirt" there were several meme retellings of Undertale where Frisk is a buff guy in his 20s or a young Mom who wants to get home so she can pick her baby up from daycare. Literally all we have about Frisk is their name, not even an age range (I've seen some headcanons go as low as THREE but most seem to be in the 8-13 range) We also don't know how old Sans is, or even if monsters age the way humans do (in fact we know they DON'T since Asgore and Toriel have apparently been ruling since monsters were trapped) but for some reason Asriel, who was raised with the Fallen Human Chara, who fell who knows how long ago, is considered acceptable? If it turned out Sans wasn't considered an adult skeleton would that change anything? People try to say Papyrus is a child but he canonly has a job. I think the interactions between Sans and Frisk do have some possible romantic charge to them, the music during their talk at the restaurant? The amount of trust sans develops over the time of the game, including eventually possibly, giving them the key to his room (and therefore his lab), Sans sounds like he's giving an "i know you're in there somewhere" fight during genocide. Even though I headcanon Frisk as 8 during the game, I developed crushes by that age. And due to monsters not aging on par with humans, Frisk will one day be old enough to be an adult and sans won't have changed much.

Fun fact about the zamii part At the time she drew the artwork, the fat character in question had only been shown from the shoulders up, and there was no full body shot of her in the show yet where you could tell that she was fat As if riling up a hate mob over not drawing a cartoon character fat enough wasn't embarrassing on it's own, they literally dug up an old fanart from before the character's design was fully revealed to do it.

So, making jewelry from breast milk thing... It's actually EXTREMELY common and popular in the mom world. The same as parents will keep their kids lost teeth or locks of hair. But it is actually far more of a favorite product for any mothers whose babies had passed away as infants (aka neonatal death/loss). Especially if these babies were also premie babies or hadn't made it long enough to grow any teeth or hair yet... Some cases, there's nothing at all to keep as a tiny little bit of something to remember the passed baby by at all... But it's HIGHLY likely that the moms will have at least began to make milk and thus is the one remaining thing that can be saved and turned into a nice momento in honor of their little ones... It sounds really gross at first, but all the businesses that I've ever come across providing such services actually mix the milk with what I understood as some kind epoxy/resin-esque .... "Chemical" that functions as both a medium and preservative for the milk. So the vendors will often send moms kits that have the ingredients necessary to mix together and add milk to (per the instructions they include). After that process is completed as instructed the moms pack all that up in the kit and send it off to the jewelry makers. The jewelry makers basically just take what's sent to them and sand it down to the shape client chose. Pop it on a chain and there's the boobie-milk-jewelry.

regarding the shoplifting thing i honestly think the general opinion on tumblr has shifted by now and is more of a "steal from rich people only" in other words, steal from work steal from big businesses but dont steal from independent business owners. and also dont post anything that can be tracked back to you personally because everything on the internet is in constant surveillance. over there we love piracy and physical copies and sharing links and how-to get free stuff because subscription based services are bogus. you either pay once and own it permanently, or you steal.

Omg i remember being there in the whole zamii controversy. It was absolutely horrendous. Im pretty sure rose quartz in the earlier seasons wasn't confirmed to be plus size yet and i think later in the seasons when we got to see her she was shown plus size, the artist obviously didnt know and thats fine. But the fact it sparked such an outrage to the point zamii tried to take her own life is depressing, this situation could have been handled differently in my opinion.

I hope i can offer some more context on the NSFW ban on tumblr becuase while it sounds kindof silly because their stock crashed and fully warrented based on apples reasons for pulling it off the apps store, there is more context needed. I was on tumblr pre-ban and i did a bit of nsfw art, drawing my own characters and taking maybe two or three comissions, my account was by no means popular and was something i did for fun and some extra cash. something that should be understood is the complete ban came out of almost no where, apple took it off the app store without warning and tumblr banned nsfw also with little warning. this meant that for people who were completely legally making money on there lost their jobs with no notice and few places to go. Most people went to twitter but as a business move this would have been risky and you could be expected to loose most of your audience. Also another thing was that their automated content filter was so bad that even though non-sexual artistic nudity, even in photos of public domain classical paints would be flagged regardless. I ridiculous example being tumblr staff making a post of what was 'accecptable' content including images as reference, images that when reposted would trigger the flagging system. another thing to note is that nothing was actually done regarding the p*dos, like additional security measure were not put in place and and textpost encouraging or acting in support of p*dophilia were not delt with. also because law enforcement was never greatly involved in this a lot of them just moved to twitter (which is also why in subsequent years twitter has had a "MAP" problem) and got away with their crimes. So overall the greater effect of the ban was takign away small creators incomes and not fixing their cp issue. Another thing to note is that while tumblr has been banned from the app store for CP, twitter has not. even though it also had its own issues with it in following years partially due to tumblrs poor handling of the situation. Which is just telling of the weird bias that many companys have against tumblr specifically, this is also a big reason that adult content has not been fully reinstated as part of tumblrs TOS

As someone who has a tumblr and has been on it for nearly a decade, the best way I can describe the website is that it just does it’s own thing. People don’t join tumblr to get popular because you can’t see how many followers other people have and if you tell people how many you have you look like you’re bragging. Tumblrs humor is strange it’s true but once you’ve been on it for a while it doesn’t phase you. I mean we celebrate November 5th as a holiday for destiel becoming canon and that Putin supposedly stepped down due to destiel. We also celebrate the ides of March every year. You can’t use normal social media logic when it comes to tumblr.

Yes, the articles about constable-frozen may have come out in 2017, but I think it's worth mentioning that the blog's been around since 2014 (peak Rise of the Brave Tangled (Frozen) Dragons conglomerate fandom, when 3D animated movies were going through a hugely popular phase in fandom), and was still active as of early this year (2022). They're probably not gone for good--I believe they've had long hiatuses before. But they have been, and are to this day, a topic of debate. I do think some of it is fetish content, but definitely not aimed at kids a la Elsagate. They're just vibing over there, I think.

I've been a Tumblr user since 2011 and I'm honestly surprised that Littlefuckinmonster wasn't mentioned. That whole controversy was absolutely legendary. But with how much insane history Tumblr has, it would be difficult to cover them all in one video especially for a non-user.
