Foxbody Saleen Coupe with SSC Options??

In this video series we're bringing you a front row seat to Foxbody Saleen Royalty. This is 1989 Saleen #04 which was bought by a Saleen employee. Purchased initially by his Dad. Whoa! The employee ordered the car wheels delete and interior delete because there were prototype parts and unique parts laying around the shop he wanted in his car. In working with Jimmy Moore he was able to score those parts among others and build a one off unique coupe Saleen. With only 65 examples produced in coupe form from 1984-1993 they are rarely seen in public.
We're partnering with Performance Autosport to bring you a front row seat to view these precious cars up close. Mark curates and manages a collection of cars ranging from rare Foxbody Saleen Mustangs to rare race cars with manufacturers championship wins.
Stay tuned to the channel as we get to bring you up close to other Saleen's, Manufacturers Race Cars, and other vehicles of significance and rarity.
Many of these cars won't be seen at any shows or local gatherings. That's why we've partnered with Mark to showcase these vehicles and talk about their unique history and stories. Each vehicle we plan to introduce to you in video has historical provenance and significance. Add in desirability and low production numbers with that provenance and you have a car that is irreplaceable.

Saleen coupes are my faves! I'm a happy owner (1995) of a 93 not Saleen Reef Blue Metallic coupe. I had a real Centrex Saleen "wing" painted and installed in 98.

So if the original owner just pieced it together with lay around parts, and Steve Saleen himself did not approve that car.... then it's not a legitimate original Saleen right?

The coupes didnt rust like the hatchbacks, on the Texas beach the hatch would rust from underneath
