I adore your videos, I adore Otis, and I adore both of you! Thank you so much for bringing your brand of narrowboating into my home - I cannot tell you how much joy (even in sad times) that you have given me. I'm certain that you have feedback from your many other subscribers in this regard, but I do feel compelled to thank you even though I may be one of thousands. Thank you, much love to all 3 of you because you share your love so freely, and Merry Christmas. -K Sea

Your camera work and historical reference clips keep amazing me. I never have to imagine what you're talking about and then the sublime, completely unnecessary, quiet moments you add in of machinery at work, etc... are the hallmarks that make you a true artist. It's truly top shelf work, you two must be proud.

Colin don't look half bad with hair on his head! I did notice that the "hunky canal workers" noticed Otis. Who knew that Otis is such a guy magnet! Those aqueducts just amaze me. Think of the loads that a simple bridge has to carry then think of all that water as well as your boat that the aqueduct has to carry. It's a marvel! Incredible show guys! I've lost both of my parents and no matter how old a person is, it makes you feel very lonely and a bit like an orphan. It's nice to see in this vlog that you're smiling and laughing more. So glad you are both on the mend from COVID, and so very sorry for the loss of your father Shaun. I’m binge watching from the beginning (unless I get distracted like I have with these last few). I remember that bone chilling cold when growing up in New Zealand. Living in Alberta at -20c is a lot easier to handle because of the dryness. When they trench the canals, what stops them disturbing or even ripping up the puddle clay which provides the waterproofing for the canals? As a lot of the canals are over 200 years old, surely the puddle clay must decay or weaken.

SIGH.... what would Friday be without a new video from Foxes Afloat? Always makes my day! Delighted to see both of you looking like you're feeling better. It occurs to me, you're always mentioning your windlass, but why is it called a windlass? Best I can find is that it comes from Old Norse "vind" (to wind -- that's pronounced "wined" and not wind) and "lass" meaning "pole." So why isn't it a windlad since we're talking poles. Maybe head back to Polesworth and ask someone there? I'm betting "pole" comes from an older meaning, too.

Another super vlog, and a very welcome break from persistent rain and the joys of writing a university assignment..... thank you! Great to see Shaun up and about and in charge of NB Silver Fox, ably assisted by Otis of course 🐾 and the two of you looking somewhat brighter than you have been. Pity the same can’t be said about the weather! Love your ‘big coats’, keeping warm is very important. Keep safe, and hope you are both continuing to get better and fitter :)
