foxfield A trip up the line 24th July 2024

So Hugh asnd myseld visited the Foxfield Railway for a trip in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside but first we visited the cafe where a pot of tea and excellent cake was enjoyed. We worked out one could have caught the first train and then got back for a very good breakfast between trains. Lots to see including wild deer enroute and nice to see that the loco has to be driven as the line contains its ups and downs as well as some serious curves. A good test for an 0-4-0 with a couple of mark one carriages. A great atmospheric line with very friendly staff.
