When Karen Bass was asked twice how she would be any different from prior Democratic mayors, she purposely deflected and avoided the question. Instead, she attacked Caruso for being a Republican. She has no answers for LA's problems because she has no desires to be LA mayor. If you listen to her speak and how she makes these broad promises, she has her eyes set on running for govenor, vice president or president. Being a mayor is just a stepping stone her Karem Bass and she will not fix any of the problems La currently faces. And by reading the comments on here, I really hope voters will vote for Caruso.

The system is broken, we need a convention of states or a reset, top down, every institution needs rechecked and balanced. There needs to be term limits, sorry the one good dude doesn’t outweigh the hundreds who are lobbied and working for their own interest. or even set up like jury duty. She wants to say the guns were legally registered and legally stored, but this also just happens to back up her own claims that guns even when stored legally are dangerous and can be stolen. I don’t - especially if they’re assaulting citizens or damaging somebody else’s property. They either need to get treatment or get locked up.. whatever Ive seen done to address this problem has been a wasted effort so far (problem continues to worsen).. our resources are finite and this will be to address a population that is not very productive to our overall society.. there has to be some ownership or desire to improve within that community.. we cannot do forever handouts..

We , the people of USA, in order to form a perfect union , blah , blah, blah. Problem is that LACounty is made up of about 80 cities. We who live in Los Angeles City, need to break away from all the other cities, and elect our own mayor who should live in Los Angeles, each community should have on council. Our city will never get rid of homeless if we keep being part of a big County, is time to break away from LA County, think about all the other cities that are part of LA County and careless about all the homeless who live in LA City: Sherman Oaks, Encino, I believe, Brentwood, Bell Air, Beverly Hills, and other cities where most people well off live. Those cities don’t have homeless, yet their people vote to elect an LA County mayor. So please people from LACity is time to break away from LA county. Homelessness will never go away as long as we keep elected corrupt politician, and neither of these two will resolve the problem we have with crime and homeless. Is time to fire all the politicians who have been I office for a long time and break away from LA County also. Keep dreaming if you think either of these two individuals will resolve our problem. Up to now, no politician gives a fuck about all the problems we citizens who live in Los Angeles City are facing.
