I also grew up in Los Angeles and count many Latinos as my oldest and dearest friends. The new contingent of Martinez, Cedillo, DeLeon, Huizar and many of the LAUSD admisistrators have ruined Los Angeles in many ways with their constant overblown accusations of racism. Martin Luther King marched with Latino workers who also marched with him. I'm not at all. A majority of the Spanish community in the United states are prejudice against black people. This is not spoken about and should be discussed. Additionally, the other POC have no idea how many doors black people have opened for them.

There’s no excuse for the racism heard on the audio. Yet that being said IMO the shit talking is probably par for the course when it comes to conversation amongst any political leaders of any ethnic race. I find it quite telling how the LA Times chose to edit the 1hr+ audio and how even in this video the LA Times chose not to mention what they said about the “White Liberals” and the La Times as well. The irony of this leaked audio is the fact that what they were trying to do to maximize Latino representation because of the demographics of the city has been destroyed. So now what? This audio is more about corruption than racism and the LA Times is part of that corruption

In my experience. I found out that some of my Hispanic friends were some of the most racist people. And in 2016 I didn't know that they ever felt that way.
