In Texas (1) stop car (2) give verbal command to exit car (3) arrest --- 10 minutes tops. If (2) is ignored, then (3) non-lethal round takes out windows (4) the fur-torpedo Malinois enters vehicle (let the compliance begin) (5) arrest --- add another 5 minutes. or .... sniper, if warranted, then (3) suspect doesn't exit car, but still 10 minutes tops.

@@donkeyoatie6787 Officers normally take cover behind their cars, they usually work pretty well at protecting them - besides, if the suspect is bright enough to point a weapon - they often barely even get a shot off before- well- before the threat is taken care of… as for commands, officers just yell them - and in some cases, they might be able to use their car’s PA system 👍🏾 as for cuts - well that’s on the suspect, the second they chose to flee they are pretty much accepting responsibility for whatever harm they cause on themselves. Oh, and as far as non-lethal goes, a taser could be used if the window is down 👍🏾 sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t - and often after a while the officers just approach with guns drawn and drag the suspect out.

Update: A suspect is dead after a standoff on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim Hills closed traffic for hours Friday morning. Corona Police initiated a pursuit around 8 a.m. of an armed driver who was wanted for stalking and making criminal threats. The chase ended before 9:30 a.m. on the westbound lanes of the 91 near Lakeview. Officials said the driver was threatening to harm himself and was seen waving a handgun. Authorities claim they didn’t use force.
