I had to work as a teen to take care of my parents so I'll never understand what it's like to have your parents do that for you but I will say it's dumb to be able to do that for your kid if they deserve it and you choose not to. My kids are babies but I plan on helping them as much as possible when they need it later in life. I refuse to put them in the situation I was put in as a kid.
