Hate to nitpick in such a joyous time, but "Trump is the new Reagan"? NOPE, not even close. First off, Reagan was a natural born politician in the best possible way. Most importantly, he changed the CULTURE in the 80s, so much so that, since he got elected, a democrat would only set foot in the White House after 12 years.

My Mom is from Newfoundland, CA. She married my Dad and came back with him to Florida after he was discharged from the USAF in 1961. It took her 10 years to become an American, and she was extremally proud. I know a few LEGAL immigrants (working and productive) who have to still jump through so many hoops to become citizens, while the illegal immigrants crossing these days are getting cash and hotels thrown at them, then being let loose without any checks and balances. Bring back sensible LEGAL immigration.

That's the thing a lot of Democrats don't understand. Many of the people voting for Trump considered themselves center or Democrat until they moved so far left that you can't even see them anymore. If someone respected Democrats because of the Skokie case, how would they feel about Democrats now? If they appreciated the antiwar crowd, how do they feel now? If they liked having an anticorporate take, now what? They did a 180 on things people cared about. For me, if you don't support my free speech, then I don't support you.

Yea exactly. Just because you finagled the rules to get past the system does not mean you have any entitlement or ownership to a spot in the country. If you cheat in a game or sport, you get kicked off the team, banned from playing, etc. why should this be any different

@archangelmychel I agree. Some situations may be difficult and sad, but the law is the law. Biden and Harris didn't blur the line of border enforcement, they purposely destroyed it. Trump and JD's administration need to send a clear message to foreign countries and their people that this will not be tolerated and if you somehow found/find a way in illegally, you will be sent back...and we go back to people coming here legally and ASSIMILATING.

He doesn't though. 93d Congress 1st Session } Senate { Report No. 93-549 EMERGENCY POWERS STATUTES: PROVISIONS OF FEDERAL LAW NOW IN EFFECT DELEGATING TO THE EXECUTIVE EXTRAORDINARY AUTHORITY IN TIME OF NATIONAL EMERGENCY NOVEMBER 19, 1973 “Since March 9, 1933, the United States has been in a state of declared national emergency. In fact, there are now [1973] in effect four presidentially-proclaimed states of national emergency: In addition to the national emergency declared by President Roosevelt in 1933, there are also the national emergency proclaimed by President Truman on December 16, 1950, during the Korean conflict, and the states of national emergency declared by President Nixon on March 23, 1970, and August 15, 1971. These proclamations give force to 470 provisions of Federal law. These hundreds of statutes delegate to the President extraordinary powers, ordinarily exercised by the Congress, which affect the lives of American citizens in a host of all-encompassing manners. This vast range of powers, taken together, confer enough authority to rule the country without reference to normal Constitutional processes. Under the powers delegated by these statutes, the President may: seize property; organize and control the means of production; seize commodities; assign military forces abroad; institute martial law; seize and control all transportation and communication; regulate the operation of private enterprise; restrict travel; and, in a plethora of particular ways, control the lives of all American citizens. A majority of the people of the United States have lived all of their lives under emergency rule. For 40 years [now 91 years, 2024], freedoms and governmental procedures guaranteed by the Constitution have, in varying degrees, been abridged by laws brought into force by states of national emergency. The problem of how a constitutional democracy reacts to great crises, however, far antedates the Great Depression. As a philosophical issue, its origins reach back to the Greek city-states and the Roman Republic. And, in the United States, actions taken by the Government in times of great crises have-from, at least, the Civil War-in important ways, shaped the present phenomenon of a permanent state of national emergency…” *Every time a US President declares a “state of war” or “state of emergency”, which is perpetual, for all US Presidents, it invokes all the statutes and powers mentioned above by the US Senate in Report 93-549. All Presidents since FDR have perpetuated the continuous “State of War” or “State of Emergency” which are equivalent phrases in civil law.

I bought Rob’s book today. Barnes & Nobel had tables of books with Oprah, Hillary, Fauci, Lemon, Connie Chung… After searching for 20 minutes, I had to ask someone to find Rob’s book. They found 1 copy halfway back with the spine towards the aisle. I think the book section was titled News. Really? In some fashion, I feel like I poked the bear. So there you go Rob. Merry New Year.

I really used to like Barry but not anymore. Its crazy how Dems feel like they own the black and Mexican communities vote. They pretty much said it. I feel like as a country we have been divided and I'm praying that all communities will stand up and let them know nobody owns their vote. We are Americans and should be able to make our own decisions. We are stepping up though.

Just good old regular dramas and comedies on TV would be excellent. Late night, which virtually most of the country used to tune to at bedtime is totally unwatchable. Did TDS do all of that? No one ever knew who Carson or even Leno supported politically or cared but now ALL of them (except Gutfeld, which is relatively new to late night) are nothing but shills for the DNC. I have to try to confine my watching to Sci-fi or fantasy because they are less likely to be peddling some woke or political message. Gutfeld is definitely slanted right, no question, but at least he’s funny. The rest of late night seems to have forgotten that they were meant to be funny or entertaining. Contemporary dramas are just as infected. Some of it is less likely to drive political lessons but some are just dreadful, you’re going to get some message about immigration, or abortion or gender every time you turn around and I’m really not up for some preachy, woke subnote delivered by some Hollywood writer or Producer who just can’t resist using his show to lecture the rest of us deplorables. Disney will be lucky to survive because they just cannot confine themselves to writing and producing good stories anymore.
