There is something wrong with him,he is a social misfit, he was kept hidden basically when that went down all them years ago,his parents did lawyer up like Dr.Phil said ,and he was probably never even given a chance to learn how to grieve, because the parents were so busy defending themselves.

It's not a smirk!!! This is not a 29 year old man. This is still a child who didn't get to grow up in a healthy way. So he wears a guarded, frightened, "Get me out of here!", looking over his shoulder little boys smile to protect himself. He fidgets, shrugs his shoulders, moves his eyes in every direction... he appears no differently than he does in those videos when he was 9 but none of his body language points to guilt. There are times where he does look like he's keeping a secret. It's all too possible he knows who killed his sister but inside Burke is still a little boy too frightened to tell.

My sister was 9 when our Dad passed away and all through the commotion of the paramedics trying to save his life, through to the funeral she didn't cry or act hysterical. But at night when all was quiet she'd crawl into my bed and just softly cry. She's just a private person, always has been. You also have to take into account the life this poor kid led. He was part of the "Perfect" family and certain things were just expected of him. He had to be perfect. I feel for the poor guy.

To his defense and I'm not saying he's guilty or innocent, only God knows who did it. I had a girlfriend in high school that giggled at everything, and I mean everything. hee defense mechanism was to giggle. One time we were in almost in a horrible car accident and by God's grace we didn't crash and her response was to giggle while my heart almost jumped out my chest while I screamed. On every single serious occasion she giggled. we thought she was weird but the truth was that's how she handled stress, conflict or drama. I know she was physically and emotionally abused by her dad but I never witnessed her cry or show sadness....she just giggled.

Burke smiling displays a reaction to a very uncomfortable life changing event that happened to him at such a young age. My younger brother and I both will laugh or joke during very uncomfortable situations. I know for me it’s because if I don’t laugh, I will cry. It’s just how we deal with very stressful situations. I do not believe Burke killed his sister. Do I think he knows more than he is willing to share knowing it was his mom and dad he would be turning against? Yes, but he loves them. This whole nightmare has caused Burke so many years of having to become very private because every move was scrutinized by the press, friends, neighbors, teachers, and when he began dating how would he escape the one question? Are you JonBenéts brother? He has said he has lived with a media storm since he was 9. History of violence and creepy acts against his sister, never understood why people had such a hard time figuring it out. He's still a sociopathic creaton, and just like a sociopath, he thinks he's smart enough to go on TV and look innocent while collecting a big check. Typical aspberger personality, works with computers, works in isolation, no social skills. He bashed his sisters head in for some minor annoyance and he never felt guilty at all, in fact he was relieved to be rid of her.

My guess is that he did it accidentally and EVERYTHING else was done to cover this up. The panel of experts stated that they didn't think that she was sexually assaulted, so all the rest could have been done by Burke and her parents. Patsy said that she "couldn't stand to loose both of her children". That says it all to me.

I agree, either he doesn't care or he has some issues (which is quite apparent) and those are making him not care or feel unattached. I think his parents also sheltered him in such a way that he was never told it was his fault and so he honestly doesn't feel he did it even if he knows deep down he did. That's just my observation on his reactions to Dr Phil's questions and even his reactions to his interview when he was young - he ACTS like he is lying but his words say he is innocent. He also seems to have some sort of "air" about him - like he is Superman or he has been vindicated and other people haven't figured that out yet; almost spoiled or sheltered.

CBS were mightily sued for the gross misleading of the public & the lying con artists were included in that suit. CBS settled the case out of court & had to pay up mega Millions of $$$. Why were the ties on her arms so loose, how did dad find her in the dark.why would you mess with the crime scene and put your child on the ground where everyone was walking instead of on the couch? If I picked my child up I sure as heck wouldn't lay them on the floor they would be put on the couch since it was close to me and our of respect for my child. Hell I would have stayed down there with her trying to hold her not carry her up the steps to lay on the ground! And the ransom letter is a bit strange as well. Who takes almost 22 minutes to write a ransom note if your gonna kill someone? And then you ask for the same amount of money that Jon made that year. Hmm yeah that's weird

He was a child when it happened. It was 20 years ago. No way you should compare your situation, with his. Unless you are a shrink, you are not qualified to judge what his smirt is about. Not in your field of vision, or expertise.

This is and will always be the strangest case ever. The parents are odd, and the kids were odd. Patsy was a pageant girl and so was her daughter. I believe they would have been great in politics if this horrific situation hadn’t happened. Having said that I believe Patsy was a show mom. She wanted the outside world to see her and her family as perfect. So when she’s raising her kids she taught them to smile, in all situations. Smile when your happy, smile when you feel awkward, smile when you are nervous, smile when you are hurting, smile through it all. Always be camera ready. It’s very common in the wealthy community’s here in the south. I’ve seen and known lots of people like this. Typical pageant life. I don’t think it was the family. Someone close to the family but not the family. I hope in my lifetime they find out the truth of what happened to this beautiful little girl.

Have you thought how many times Burke has seen his life in photos, the memories of his house and family through KZbin, unlike when he was nine years old, now he is an adult and it is easier to lie because through KZbin he watches old videos and not he feels sadness for his sister and only smiles because of nerves of whatever Time has passed and now he is 35 but body language does not lie THAT simple, People do not be STUPID This Boy killed her
@JessH1
@JessH1 2 жыл бұрын
@@ladyeva8651 oh, I agree!! But not just from this video. There's so many little things that make me think he did it and they finished it up. I feel like they kept him closed off because they knew if he was out and about what he would become. There's something not right with him. He didn't care then when she died. There's an episode of criminal minds That every time I watch it, I think of him. A little boy killed his brother for breaking his toys and the parents called a cop friend and he made it look like an abduction. But when talking to the little brother they notice how he didn't cry or even seem to care. He just wanted to play with some toys and have a snack. And it's so close to how he was acting that its scary. The parents also acted as if they knew the call was never coming. They grieved, but in a controlled way. Idk. I believe he caused it and they covered it.

Some people are awkward. Smiling is a sign of someone feeling nervous and awkward. Its something that helps people cope. Some people cry, some people look stone cold and some people smile. I laugh and cry when I'm extremely angry and upset. Man people need to stop making things up

I also felt that Dr Phil, was being deceptive during this interview with Burke. And what was the point of the questions to Burke anyway. Dr Phil new what answers Burke was going to provide. Dr Phil never asked him to take a polygraph test, like he would with anyone else in the same circumstances

He gets sweaty when they start talking about the ransom letter, he also gets more sweaty when he shows it to him which then he talks about how his mom would make HIM write nice and that it's too sloppy which he easily could just be saying that as an excuse. He also shows nervousness in his hands and is more red around the neck. He knows more.

Burke's been smiling the biggest smile I've ever seen since his sister died his childhood police interviews are exactly the same back then as his interview with Dr phil in recent times he smiled up a storm he was nonchalant he never cried he smiled right through the funeral he dodges questions his answers are always strange. He was so unbothered. I know the law requires evidence but come on man why is everyone kidding themselves.. Far as I'm concerned Burke done it!

come on people. if you were a child and your sibling was murdered, and your once happy family was thrown into a spotlight of doubt, fear and questioning your whole world and how you perceive it, would you not be different, stalled and damaged? . this makes him guilty of nothing. he is severely damaged and deserves support and comfort and peace and quiet. let him be. I know many people damaged as children, it is traumatic and changes you. if the worst he is, is socially awkward., then good. give the guy some peace. something he has not had since that Christmas morning so many years ago.

Sharon Eniye Burke is autistic. I am autistic, so is my daughter. Take it from me, he IS autistic. People with autism often do not understand how to socialize with others. We don’t read/understand conversational cues that tell us WHEN to smile, what emotional response is supposed to occur naturally. My daughter smiles ANY time she is stressed out or anxious. People watching her would think that she is overjoyed for example looking at fireworks, but she is smiling hugely because she is overstimulated and doesn’t know what else to do.
