FOXWELL NT630 Pro New are a scam do not work

I bought it again on Ebay does not work when in several cars and does not turn on contact the seller and told me to remove the memory sd lights but it does not go beyond there .. I connect the sd to my pc it is empty it does not format even it does not read it in a Memory new and does not work contact the seller and I did not respond I asked for a return and did not return the money I do not recommend this equipment in all sales on Ebay and contact your web side of FOXWELL and do not respond as this equipment is a scam

I wanted a scanner that could help with an abs brake bleed, and after some searching on the internet, I found there are many choices. I ended up with a Foxwell NT630 Elite. After it arrive I was trying it out, exercising the capabilities on a working 2002 Buick LeSabre. Using the scanner, Under SIR, I ran the special function, "Setup SDM Serial Number in DIM". Immediately after test ran, Air Bag Light on Dash. I could clear the DTC and the light went out, but once I restart the car, "Air Bag" light on Dash returned. DTC code b1001. I did some research on internet found other who had a Foxwell Scanner, and experienced same problem. Remedy was, go to dealer to correct. Dealer has a tech 2. Dealer charged me $130 to get connected to Tech 2, done in 10 min. The Foxwell had caused me a problem that force me to the Dealer's scanner.

My nt630pro works fine. You can't blame the machine , blame the seller. It'd probably just a faulty SD card. Just reset the airbags on a 2012 Mercedes without issue.

Misleading video... definitely the SD card/operator error.

I had this same problem. I did a format on the memory card then reinstalled the updates. It now works. There is a particular update that caused this problem, just make sure you format the card first.

No problems here. Then again I’m not trying to reset airbags or abs codes- I just wanted a decent live data tool and it does that just fine for me.

mine works great. you might have gotten a bad one. i do not buy much off ebay any more because i've gotten ripped off a few times. it's really sad because i know their are good sellers on ebay. but i can not take the chance.

The first thing you have to do is register on the FOXWELL website. And register the device, after downloading the update, execute it and install it. Above all, ask for technical support that will guide you on how to solve the problem. AND ESPECIALLY READ THE MANUAL THAT MANY PROBLEMS BEGIN WITH THERE. And before buying by Ebay check type of seller because there are usually many scams.

I got the foxwell plus scanner and mine worked fine it 'reset' 3 model cars which was nissan micra, mini, and Suzuki. So don't get why yours don't work..

@@MP-Performance ino what u mean. I had everything with mine like instruction book and everything. I got it from ebay to and u have to go on the foxwell website and download on to memory card. And then should hopefully do the trick. But funny thing now is I manage to reset my car but the airbag light came back after few weeks later. And now I'm trying to reset again and it's not allowing me to. So now ive got no choice but to contact there customer services. So see what they say.

Originally, this unit came with a 4gb memory card. Newer units should include a 8gb card. You will need a 8gb memory card to put new updates on. It is recommended to format new memory card to fat32 file system with an allocation unit size of 4096.

Its possible unit is defective. However, try these suggestions first. The operating software for the unit is on the memory card. So make sure that you follow directions on installing update/software to memory card. When you use the reader, car ignition should be in the on position or the car running. The scanner normally powers on whenever it is connected to the data link connector (DLC). To connect to vehicle power: 1. Locate the data link connector (DLC). The DLC is generally located under the dash on the driver side of the vehicle. 2. Attached the diagnostic cable to the scanner and tighten the captive screws to ensure good connection. 3. Connect a correct adapter to the data cable according to the vehicle being serviced and plug it into the vehicle DLC. 4. Switch the ignition key to the ON position. 5. The scanner automatically boots up. IMPORTANT Never try to provide power for the scan tool from USB connection when the scan tool is communicating with a vehicle. 3.1.2 Connecting to Personal Computer with USB Cable The scan tool also receives power through the USB port when it is connected to a PC for updating software and transferring saved files. To connect to PC: 1. Insert the small end of the USB cable to the USB port at the right side of the scanner and the large end to a computer. 2. Press the power switch of the scan tool to power it on.

Mine was working fine last week...now it wont even power up when attached to car. (No matter what position car is in) , but does startup with usb to pc.. other scanners work fine in car ..even with same cable...

you have to uninstall all data from memory card then reinstall 1 make of car at a time. IT WILL FIX THE ISSUE. you just cannot do more then 1 make update at a time

buy your own sd card i did , put update file in in pc and unzip file , then put unzip file in sd card , i had to redo the update file 3 times in same sd card before it worked , and now it works fine .

As I see it, either its defective, and you luck in buying them x2 defective is rare but it happens. I bought three washer pumps which were all defective, come to find out the batch lot from the factory were all bad. As I watch others with this tool, it does seem to perform to standards set. I am buying one so I can tell you whether or not they are fake. make sure you buy from a reputable supplier! Hope you got your money back. Also, good idea next time to video in a less traffic area or sing or talk about your car just to make the time pass more enjoyable.

yes it is frustrating wen u follow every instruction n it wont work. it's obvious that he have experience with launch scan tool. which requires updates similar to foxwell ...but if foxwell (seller) don't pay for data from vehicle manufacture...then the user miss out.. there (many sellers) of foxwell. you can still update this machine will another foxwell will pay a fee.

Pues un amigo que se dedica a la programacion de estos equipos logro por medio de sus contactos reprogramarlo lo dejaron actualizado hasta el 2017 la verdad me siento estafado con este equipo por que aparte del valor Page $80 uds por la programación las tiendas los venden en blanco segun hay que bajar la actualización pero al tratar de hacerlo da error y nuevo jamas se actualiza..

when i got mine i installed the software it worked fine , when i updated it stop turning on with sd card , i had to uninstall and reinstall only the os software 3 times before it worked again , so it is probaly just your software .

Dude, you did not get scammed: they sent you an empty scanner. Be Quiet, go get a new one and then return this one saying it does not work

Yup, mines dead also. No display, will NOT turn on. Used it once. They keep telling me to update it, but no joy. And yes, I did try a new higher grade card. (Theirs is SLOW). Still, you cannot upgrade the unit if it does not turn on, either with the vehicles OBDII connector or with a PC through the USB port. Since I told tech support that, they will not even get back with me anymore. I just want to send it to them for repair, they will not get back with me at all. They got my money alright!

@@jk2880 hey Jerome.....I go to my mechanic and talked to him about that issue, so he asked me the scanner and today saturday 10, august gave me back with no problem with a cost of 30 bucks aproximately. Fortunately for me it's working again.
