I’m a cishet Black woman and I LOVED this show! I do have tons of criticisms and side eyes. It was super ratchet and was giving old school Making The Band because Wootie kept inserting herself in their drama (aka Puff Daddy). I was really happy to see Black women be represented that all had natural hair styles (most had locs) that were living so free! Unlike some of the reality shows, they weren’t trying to like appease the male gaze. They were free, you know? Having fun on their terms. And I appreciated seeing the joy!
