The number of comments talking about using lava and wood doors... Guys, fire spread is not turned on so the lava won't work. Flint and steel is the best option. Hopefully people see this and don't have to ask so Foxy won't have to reply to the same comment over and over.

After the water stream run an second sorting system then the smelters after that. Also longer drop tube would probably make the third portal work.

This. I can't remember the distance I used, but a decent drop for a 1 hit kill should sort it out.

I recently made a similar farm with 3 portal farm and 3 tridents was able to keep the TK up with the mobs coming in. As for smelting the swords I found it wasn't really worth the hassle, that was after I made a smelting ara. so I just lava them now

I build mine way way up in the sky so I have lava trashing the swords and I just put all the rotten flesh in a dropper that shoots them off the edge. Too much hassle.

I go back and forth on killing wandering traders or ignoring them. At one point I had three wandering traders, all with different trades, running around my base at the same time, good thing there's Just One Bug in Bugrock. In a different world a lot of their llamas would get caught in the same stream in a cave, I ended up with over 20 llamas in one cave.

I had a similar farm but with 8 portals and I also (as below) needed three tridents to keep up. The real lag problem wasn't the items, it was the XP orbs. Had to make sure my AFK spot was where I could get it all or the game would lag itself to death. The rates are... insane though. And I am just trashing all the swords.

You can use trapdoors, observers and lava to constantly ignite the portals, that way you don't have to be dependent on the durability of flint and steels.

I built one of these but with 18 portals it took a serious obsidian farm but nothing silent's tutorials couldn't fix!

Also...no flint and steel needed. Use lava, trap doors and six observers and it will light the portal on and off forever

Why dont u use lava and trapdoors to light the portals it workks extreamly well and doesnt need flint and steel (u need 5 buckets of flowing lava per portall and each bucket of lava needs to be flowing against an open wood trap door and itll auto light the portalls!!)

Old farm. Still use it in my worlds. You can literally line it up with infinite portals if you want and use water stream

Foxy you should use Lava and trapdoor trick to let the portal be opened and just powder snow is good and I was using water bucket instead of snow thank you for snow 😁

Water buckets are unreliable and we have fire spread turned off so lava buckets won't work

@@foxynotail No I am using lava that is trapped in a chamber of solid blocks and towards the portal I put trapdoors though they don't burn at all 😌

Please consider using xRsBuiltx observerless trident killer design. It is so much faster and efficient for a farm this size. He runs a farm with 8 portals and it keeps up just fine.

Iron farm. Pretty simple to build, very useful.

@@FalconBeetle yeah you need to be within simulation distance of the iron farm for it to produce. So either AFK or do a lot of building around the farm. A small iron farm will produce around 300 ingots per hour.

If you create yourself a "infinite" lava source in a line, with an added row of blocks above it on all sides, plus a platform on one of the long sides, you can safely pour buckets of lava in the bottom trench, then water buckets one block above that, for a 100% obsidian rate. I do this all the time in Bedrock survival 1.19. Also, if you put the same seed into both creative and survival, you'll have a really great hack. You can poke around in creative, find out where it's safe to mine or build, then go into survival and do it safely. Finally, it would really help if you gave the number of blocks for each line of obsidian, horizontal and vertical. That's what I came here for, because the 9 x 9 barely works, some other KZbin commenter said 22 x 22, but that isn't working at all for me... Anyway, giving the # of blocks for a working build is really important. What was the actual block count for the obsidian in this build?
