Wow a promising HD downlink. *Looks at price* Oh... Maybe another year...
@FpvBlue7 жыл бұрын
Pricing for our first batch is going down by around 3 euro per hour and is already below what it costs us to make them. That around 70 euro per day, and we have them in stock. You are not going to see a similar deal in the future, not until someone takes our system and develops an asic with it.

fpvblue Well your product is great and is basically unrivaled at the price that you are selling it for. I was just pointing out that certain people still dont have the budget to buy an HD video Tx and Rx yet.

Roughly $450 atm.

so nice of Daniel to promote out two channels right?

Yay, first time I get a shout out from you, one of my favourite FPV pioneers! thanks a lot! your flights were great. I also thought of comparing 5.8 analog and the new fpv blue sys. I installed it on a RC truck and went quite far into the woods. Cant really fly far here with our tight regulations... I flew with an old quad as well - also had nasty jello (but my quad is NOT balanced well). Keith LR flights with this system are awesome! greets, RCSchim

I'm so happy I was able to get one of the last of these before they went out of business
@Chazz1555117 жыл бұрын
This is the kind of break through that I have been waiting for in the FPV world. It's so expensive to get into, and even then video footage is garbage. This is great though. Yes $450 but its quality and you are really getting your bang for your buck with the great video footage and distance. I certainly can't afford to get into it now as I am in college, but I might consider saving up now. I certainly would want to wait for the video goggle compatibility, and as usual later batches usually have a lot of the bugs worked out along with a lower price. Really looking forwards to the future with this company.

@ZylonFPV7 жыл бұрын
It was a nice little test, but it didn’t really show us much about latency, which is key for FPV. You said it was superior at longer range, but did the latency increase that far away? How was the latency in general compared to analog?
@BikingVikingHH7 жыл бұрын
Because radio frequency transmissions travel at roughly the speed of light, from what I understand distance means essentially nothing when it comes to latency, that is specific to the processing of the image, not the distance traveled. That is unless, you are flying light years away.
@ZylonFPV7 жыл бұрын
That's not exactly what I mean, usually when the signal strength drops on digital systems you get lots of packet loss, error correction kicks in and frame rates drop, resulting in increased latency. On analog video, there is no difference when the signal is low, same latency.
@ZylonFPV7 жыл бұрын
500ms would be terrible for FPV indeed. Unusable
@EnglishTurbines7 жыл бұрын
Latency is negligible, unless you are Mini Quad flying, in which case you should not be using a pro FPV rig like this anyway.
@EnglishTurbines7 жыл бұрын
The latency is pretty small, so unless you are flying close to the ground (like with a Mini Quad for instance) the latency is not going to be an issue. I didn't say FPV flyers should not use a Pro HD rig like this, I said it would be wasted on something like a Mini Quad. I suspect you have never flown anything FPV too.

I look forward to more of your tests with this system. How about a build video on your carbon slow stick ? Thanks
@Laggeros7 жыл бұрын
Hi, how do you check if wind speed is okej for your flights? How much wind is too dangerous to fly with a large glider?
@sierra_bravo63887 жыл бұрын
Laggeros It's difficult to say for sure, since the affects of wind on a glider will depend on the type of glider. For example, a slope soarer won't be as affected as a thermal glider. For the most part I'd say from personal experience that winds above 12mph(19kph) require you to consider whether conditions allow for a safe flight, Especially since winds are usually stronger at altitude. Hope this helped.

What is the carbon fiber slow stick? Is it a kit or did you scratch build it?
@sierra_bravo63887 жыл бұрын
Quadflyingmedic I believe it's a homebuilt design, similar to his still-in-development solar aircraft.

@james-55607 жыл бұрын
You should try a 4G system of sending video, yes it might have some latency but then you'd be totally free and never lose signal really and you could go 30 miles on solar! You'd have to work out a control signal over 4G though, must be do-able.
@JakeBullit1237 жыл бұрын
Looks an interesting development.
@KoreFpv7 жыл бұрын
With some stabilisation on-board thats could work :D
@imba24847 жыл бұрын
You would be really limited actually, cell towers have directional antennas that cover only ground, so you could only fly low, with breakups because of questionable coverage. No point in covering the air, it would be expensive, and covered air space would be rarely used. Gprs however uses omni antennas and can be caught higher above ground, but its not fast enough for what you suggested.
@Rcschim7 жыл бұрын
you would have to have a good autopilot and rely much on stabilization. this sys here is good because it has very low latency and high image quality. the creator of this sys actually started with 3g fpv transmission as his first digital trials :)

Please upscale the video to 4k before uploading. So we can have higher bitrate on youtube. Otherwise it's hard to judge the camera system when you don't know if the blur comes from youtube compression. In summary: upscale before uplading! Thank you!
