I've read these books (5 vols). It's a must-read for all. You'll have a deeper knowledge about our Lord & Mother Mary and you will love Them even more. Maria Valtorta, an Italian mystic was so blessed to have been given this great gift of "witnessing" the Life of our Lord & Mother Mary, St Joseph & the Apostles.

Thank you, Fr Daniel, for a fascinating insight into "The Poem of the Man God". I am now enjoying the privelige of being up to Vol 4. I am currently reading Chapter 441, and am a little confused where, in Verse 5, during a homily by Jesus, the words Catholic and Catholicism are mentioned. I thought these descriptions wouldn't apply in those days? Can you give me an explanation, please. Thank you.

Remarkably, the book has grown in popularity in part because its champions claim that high Church officials--including one Pope--endorsed it. They haven't. In fact, Poem was included on the Index of Forbidden books until the abolition of the Index in the 1960s. No less an authority than Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, reiterates the Church's rejection of the claims made for The Poem of the Man-God.

Everybody already knows of God, but many reject him: “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for *God hath shewed it unto them…* being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are *without excuse:”* (Romans 1:19-20). God has shown us his eternal power through the creation of all things. Our very existence is because of the power of God the Father. He loves us so much He sent Jesus to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). We all belong to God, just as Satan once did. Yet mankind refuses God, just as Satan did when he declared to go against God. A shepherd who loses one sheep will leave those behind safe and sound to seek the one that is lost. This is because the sheep originally belonged to the shepherd before it became lost. Jesus is the good shepherd, who the Father has sent into the world that we may all be joined to that one spirit (John 17:22)-and that one spirit belongs to God the Father.
