Priests need a LOT of prayer… they love the Lord and they want to please Him but they’re human with human weaknesses and Satan will attack them from their weak points. My heart goes out to them. P.S. I pray for priests every day. They go through temptations all the time. May God protect them from all evil. ✝️✝️✝️😇

Dear Bro. Francesco, the truth is rational on its own. It does not need to be rationalised. St Augustine speaks of truth as a lion that needs no defending. Set it free for it will defend itself. Many saints have experienced the dark night in their lives when confronted with the truth. If you cage it up, it will torment you further. If you set it free, it will liberate you.

This reminds me of a man I met in a hospice. He was 93 and dying of cancer. He was constantly in pain but refused medication. Why? He said his sufferring was insignificant in comparison to our Lord's at the stations of the cross along Calvary. I said, 'You are a holy man!'. He replied, ' God wouldn't have kept me here till 93 if I were holy, He asks piety from me and I'm still working at it.' It was Christmas, I gave him a box of chocolates. There was delight in his eyes. He said, 'Even if one is trying to be pious, it is difficult to refuse satan sometimes.' Indeed, holiness is of God, the church and the saints, our weak constitution allows us to work at our piety in the face of satan's craft. God bless us all!

Wow. A great testimony. My best friend struggled his whole life with alcohol. Lots of money issues relationships driver license problems probation jobs. He was found dead in a motel two years ago he was 48. But you know he always always talked of Jesus and loved him. So even a good holy priest couldn’t kick it for years. Never judge. I pray they both are in heaven now.

I lived out there close to that parish for a while around 2010, 2011, 2012 and I went to confession. When I first went to confession with him, I felt so consoled and prviledged, like I was in the presence of greatness. He was so kind and wise. In private, he spoke just like in this video. Amazing Priest. I felt the presence of God when with him. He made little ole me feel important to him and to God. I think he made everyone feel that way. So gentle, wise, and strong. He would choke up a lot, the way he does at the end, when giving spiritual direction because of the care and Love in his heart. Now, I was looking at Catholic Holy Reading on youtube and ran into this video of him. I didn't know he passed away. Thank you for posting this beautiful video of Monsignor Ed.

What a beautiful and powerful testimony. His story shows us that we all fall for whatever reason but we should always pick ourselves back up again and move forward with Christ who Himself fell many times , with His Holy Cross, on His way to Calvary. Never ever give up. Always keep your eyes upon The Cross of Jesus! He is Our Lord and Savior and He wants everyone of us with Him on the Last Day!!! Always remember, The Eucharist is the Only Medicine that works for all illnesses!!! It is the True Body , Blood , Soul and Divinity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Alleluia, Amen. May God The Father Son and Holy Spirit Bless and Protect all of His Children. May this Beautiful Priest Rest In Eternal Peace In The Arms Of Jesus Along With Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen !! 🙏🏽✝️📿♥️🕊

There but for the Grace of God go I. Dealt with certain 'addictions' myself and it confused me why after prayers, supplications, heartfelt pleas for help and such that it seemed my prayers fell on deaf ears. Turns out it was my great pride which held back the help. If God had answered me then I would have still thought it was MY 'great' prayers, or MY new 'holiness' which really turned my life around; and sure God could share some of the credit. Once I really knew, once my pride was acknowledged (ie. I wanted to be free of the addictions so people would respect me more; not because it was the right path to God) and I was properly ordered; God quietly took them away. That took 25 yrs; I'm a slow learner. I hope the next few lessons go quicker; my time is getting short.

You are blessedly right. It is God’s WORK in our hearts/lives -not our own- that changes us. Jesus tells us that NO man can come to Him unless God, the Father, DRAWS him (man) (John 6:44). God draws us by convicting us of our deceitful/wicked hearts (Jeremiah 17:9). He then GIFTS to us HIS grace/faith/mercy/compassion to repent and to believe in HIS SON. He draws us to the feet of Jesus and gives us to Him. Jesus sees the WORK OF THE FATHER in us and accepts us unto himself. Jesus will never let go of us. Blessings v

God isn't merciful, although Satan and the catholics are always trying to sell the mercy of God. God is vicious, as he proved when he drowned everyone in the world except for the people on Noah's Ark. This guy certainly isn't a good priest, just like the rest of them. 330,000 little boys in France were raped by 3,000 catholic pedophile priests, and it barely made the news, because people EXPECT that from catholics. Jesus said child rape was unforgivable (Matt 18:6-14), and everyone involved will get eternal damnation. The catholic church has priests that are either pedophiles or pedophile defenders, and every priest is one of the two, brutally defying Jesus as they spread the word of Satan.

With my very being I know that Jesus Christ is there with you. The whole company of the Church past and present is with you. Hope in prayer, and offer your suffering to Christ. Call on our Blessed Mother, Mary to help you in all your struggles. You have a fantastic army of Saints and angels to call upon. Frequent the Holy Sacraments, in particular Confession. Go to Mass. Do not rely on your feelings for they will often lie to you. Take heart my brother, you have Christ who is for you. You will be in my prayers. Please pray for me. John

I am blessed to have come upon this heartfelt story, of a man who like us all fell on his face, and with Holy will, tears and love of Christ was found again. I have to say I shed tears of joy, for Father Thompson, for the many many of us who try to keep our chin up when we feel so low. And I remind myself that all I have to do is open my heart to my Lord, to my Queen in Heaven. There is no better joy felt than when I receive my Lord on the tongue, in the flesh through the Holy Eucharist.

Sometimes, even more touching than the story of holiness/sainthood from birth, is the one of a fall, redemption and begining again. I learnt of Fr Ed Thompson through an article published in the Word Among Us Catholic devotional and originally written by late Fr Benedict Groeschel and Bert Ghezzi in their book 'Everyday Encounters with God' It brought tears to my eyes because it shows that we humans can always begin again. I bought the book and keep going back to the article. God rest the soul of Fr Ed Thompson. May his life move many more to turn around and begin again. Thanks Brandon.

Gold? Faith can see beyond the lies, the real church has always been in the heart. The church gave the schools over to the state and the statists wanted to be gods and to be gods, they rule in the hell they created. This low is not new, it happened in 1191 & 1492 due to selling sin into the future cheap into the youth of America.

It brings so much hope to see there are priests who thrive to return to the Lord and serve Him until their last day of life. It is so moving to see the love Father Ed felt for his vocation and his need to serve the community! Mostly, his deep love for our Lord in the Holy Eucharist! This hits home for all of us devoted Catholics right now! Lord Jesus, may all the hearts of our priests, bishops, archbishops and pope feel the burning desire in their souls to serve you and tend to their sheep till the very end!! 🙏🏼

JMJ Such an amazing talk from such a humble man. It's amazing when I listen to these it always seems to be the message I need most for the day. Our Lord is always there to guide you if you just listen, and the more you listen the louder the voice becomes. I'm sure you are in the company of angels now. I know envy is a bad thing, but at 52 years old I would gladly give away everything I've worked for my whole life just to meet Bishop Sheen. He has been such an important part of my life. I can't think of a greater gift to God than to bring someone into the light. And I can only imagine how many peoples hearts Bishop Sheen has touched. May God bless everyone who sees this message. And if you are having any problems in life or just need guidance, remember that Jesus is always there. No matter what you may have done in life he will never leave you. All you have to do is humble yourself, and with a true heart ask for help. He will never leave you behind. May Good bless you all.
