Thank you so much for making this video. I've been a console kid for over 13 years now. Just turning 21 and getting money for a real setup now I've been eyeing PC's for about a month. And essentially all the things I piled into my Amazon cart, you guys built here! Even down to the case I wanted! Which for someone like me who is somewhat scared of building my own PC due to lack of knowledge this video helped me out sooo much! I should be able to build a PC no problem. Thank you!

I love watching people that are passionate about what they speak of! Especially, for some of us that are new to P.C. builds. I chose this case due to wanting a quiet case that looks great. I am not interested in lighting(except for the keyboard, everything else will be covered) so functionality and performance are pivotal with my choices. Thank you for the video. Indeed, and the R6 also has provisions for an optical drive, while others don't. You can use your older components, yet still have a modern case with updated components. I hope that Fractal plans to continue manufacturing this case for many years to come.

Hi guys, Just to confirm, I have successfully mounted an 140MM EKWB CE in the back, 360MM EKWB PE in the TOP, and an 280MM EKWB CE in the front. Everything just fits, the screws of the 360MM are almost touching the 280MM rad because EKWB uses ball shaped screw heads. But it does work, and it works great! From what I can tell you can even fit another 120MM PE in the bottom, but I didnt do this, so try at your own risk. Looks like plenty of space though. As a PSU I am using a Corsair RM750x, so that PSU and a 120MM would work! Enjoy builing in this awesome case!

Ps: you are not supposed to mount the hybrid gpu rad on the bottom. I don’t know about msi but the evga ones say right in the instructions do not mount on the bottom of the case due to air bubbles that will form in a couple years in the cooler will get trapped in the pump causing pump failure. I’m guessing this would be the same as msi since the cooler is likely made by the same company

I think just a bit of whitening to the mesh C and using the power button and USB ports design on it would greatly improve the design as well as pushing the front cover out a little to allow bands to be moved to the outside part of the case covered by the mesh so you could use a bigger cooler

I'm going to be be building a new system in the next couple months and this is the case I plan to use, except I'm going to use the one with solid sides since A) My PC is in a desk cubby so all I can see is the front and I'm not interested in RGB lighting at all. B) It has noise dampening foam for an even quieter system. This case line is now available from the factory with the USB-C port for essentially the same cost as the one without which is a nice addition. I looked at some cheaper cases, but I've always had to use cheap cases in the past. They look like crap, are a pain to build in and maintain, and usually require buying fans which makes them not so cheap after all.

i realize this is an old vid and you guys likely don't keep up with archived comments, but I would like to know why you chose to put the radiator at the top and not the front. isn't the primary point to cool the cpu with cool air and hot air is rising and being drawn out the top through the radiator. I am not sure of temp difference, but your thoughts would be appreciated.

Good video. This is the setup I am after and I'm happy to see a video with mostly similar parts. A question on Case pressure: There are 2x 140mm fans frawing air in from the front, plus the 120mm fan on the GPU radiator drawing air in from the bottom. Then 3x 120mm fans on the top radiator set as an exhaust, plus the 140mm rear exhaust fan. Does this result in a positive or negative case pressure? My concern is dust: I don't want dust sucked in via any other cracks if there is any negative case pressure.

gpu radiator has to be above the card? any issues with heat? the EVGA version has a warning not to mount below the GPU, suggest mounting it above, I also noticed the higher temps
@chorneyk7 жыл бұрын
That makes perfect sense to me. You need to keep the flow going to the pump as it is a wet pump. You do not want the pump to run dry as it will kill it. So like when installing a custom loop (or if you are putting together a fish tank) you want the pump as low as possible to make sure the pump always get fluid. If the pump is higher than the reservoir or in the case of an AIO, the radiator, the pump will run dry and burn out. You will also see increased temperatures because the pump won’t be properly circulating the fluid through the system. End result is that you end up damaging all your pretty pc parts... If they put everything in their proper place the gpu radiator should actually be either at the front, the top, or at the exhaust port at the back. All of which would keep the pump (mounted directly to the gpu) below the radiator. Or at least close to being around it’s actual height.

Does this case really accommodate an EATX sized board? That is such a tight squeeze getting the cabling through the grommets with an e ATX board in place. imagine if you had to change or route a different power cable after the eatx board is seated. Do not put your gpu radiator on the bottom of the case like shown. Always do whatever possible to mount it above the gpu. Because there is an air pocket in all aio's thats used as an expansion medium to buffer your fluids expansion when it heats up. With the radiator at the lowest point your air pocket will now rise to the pump head, which is going to cause your pump impeller to constantly mix air with your coolant and emulsify the fluid , changing its density and coolant properties as well as throw off your rpm. Each time the computer sits the pump is going to start and have to reprime itself before it gets going.
