Two things: 1. Put your thoughts out there (as Sriram did with writing) and you'll get positive network effects. 2. Sriram sounds like a great, positive guy. So don't be a jackass. He once spoke about walking through snow for a mile in Seattle to get to work because he did not have a car. That's how he sharpened his axe working at Microsoft.

As an indian tech guy who wants to get into the insider zone at silicon valley, Sriram's talk was really helpful. Hope to meet you both someday!

Interesting to see how tech leaders think of the ecosystems that they invest in (47:58) - especially in consumer social software - and how that thinking actually shapes every user's experience (eg. youtube users). For them, understanding how to build an online presence (and express themselves within it) is understanding what type of startups to look out for.

I really enjoyed this episode. Two of the people I resonate with due to their humble beginnings in different cultural contexts. On the topic of vulnerability, it is obvious that overcoming the fear of being wrong in public is important. How do you deal with your fear of being wrong becomes reality after you put yourself out there?

why's your video quality always so bad?
@thechocolatemonster33923 жыл бұрын
He needs to ship to his interviewee a camera and or get a video recording of them, instead of screen recording his own computer maybe (which is what it looks like he's doing).

He is from below average college and was just lucky to get into microsoft without interview(otherwise he would have been eliminated in 1st or 2nd round). Got lucky on Facebook part. Even the stupid looks cool when luck favors'.
