I buy fractional because it’s what I can get on a month to month basis. I get at least a 1/10 ounce piece of gold each month.

If that's what you can get, do what makes you happy. 1/10th oz is a respectable size.

Nothing wrong with being a "variety guy" ! Be a smart budget buyer, world 9999 coins and bars. Fractional gold = liquidity. Premiums? Well, you don't buy it to sell it the next day. Inflation and the collapse of the dollar = premium goes poof. Called Profit. Good Video!

1. How do you know who to trust on Instagram?? 2. Where do I find those tiny capsules like your Kookaburra one? 3. I hate packaging/assays; I assume scuffing decreases value? 4. Thanks again for the education! I'm in love with tiny stuff (miniature collector in general) so the 1/10 coins. But I love bars of all sizes.

The problem with saving up to buy a whole ounce of gold is, gold prices can go up , they don't stay stale, if they never moved, then yes, you can "save up to get an ounce" quite easily. Did you think about that?

Absolutely. Felt it was too obvious to state.

Monthly, am getting 2.5 grams. That fits my budget. Then i got 5 gram the past 2 months. And for the next coming months (4 consecutive) a 10 gram by start to save up beginning this month. ... Leveling up.

Nice video bud. Personally I like sovereigns for fractional, or coins from the LMU. They have low premiums for fractional and are very liquid in Europe.

Thanks much! That's awesome. Another viewer said she buys sovereigns because they aren't affected by the VAT tax. It's crazy the restrictions happening on precious metals in Europe.

Thanks for sharing. Some good points there. I'm just waiting for arrival of some fractional pieces to see what I like the look of the most. I've had Sovereigns and 1oz before, my only gripe with Sovs is the copper content rather than being four nines

So what? Why is the purity that important?
@SovereignSaurus
@SovereignSaurus 2 жыл бұрын
@@nedstarkravingmad1799 2 years ago wow. The purity is important for buyers in many countries like Australia and Canada as GST (sales tax) is due when you buy non pure gold eg 22ct. Many other reasons.... It's down to personal preference on the look of the coins to a collector
@paganphil100
@paganphil100 4 жыл бұрын
I'm in the UK so the best fractional coins for me are sovereigns which are slightly less than a 1/4 troy ounce (Sovereigns are 0.23 troy ounces). I haven't got any 1/10 coins yet but I probably will do when / if the spot-price drops again. I don't usually buy bars but I do have 3 x 10g Lady Fortuna bars from PAMP.

I stay away from fractional gold due to the higher premiums. I stick to 1oz gold eagles or 1oz gold Buffalows when I can. To me paying the higher premiums for the fractional gold just for the sake of having gold in your stack is not good money management or good stacking, but that's just me. Always try and get the "best bang for your buck" This is a savings plan not a selling plan. having said that if I can get fractional gold for the right price, I would consider it.

The reason I'm not a big fan of buying full ounce coins or bars is because first off like you said, if you have an unforseen emergency where you require money, and you only have say one ounce American Eagle, you are now forced to sell your only coin to get bunch of cash that you perhaps don't even need. Thats why my favorite denomination is quarter ounce. At I don't mind owning a few half ounce coins as well. But this way, same scenario, but you can sell one or two of your quarter ounce coins and still have three or two quarter ounce coins left. The second reason I prefer buying quarter ounce coins is because I believe its a more realistic and financially achievable way (at least for me at this time in my life), of consistently acquiring gold on a set time table. Not too many people have $2000 buck left over to go and spend that on a one ounce coin each month. Thus for most people it takes time to save up. However, we all know the longer it takes a person to accumulate the money, the greater the chance that the money will end up being spend on other things. So instead of trying to save up $2000 for 3-5 months or however long it takes a person to save, its much easier to save $500 each month and purchase a quarter ounce gold coin. This is also psychologically beneficial since you feel like you are making constant progress, and not lagging behind. But that could just be me. Anyway Thanks for the video.
