❤️Suggestion, I’d put a 2x4 cleat, horizontally between the studs, on each side of your headers incase you want to hang curtain rods without needing to use mollies. I also put one where each doorknob could hit the drywall and poke a hole.❤️

Today was my sons 42 birthday, 4 of my boys ( one is in Minnesota) gathered for chancho a palo ( open Fire roasted pork belly), ice tea and cake. 4 of my grandchildren were here too. Just a heads up, if you hammer one nail in to your bracing at the end of a wall, it will pivot as you raise the wall and then all you need to do is nail it in to the floor. Just makes the process a little safer and easier to manage.

The wood surrounding them, yes they are their trees. However, purchased building lumber is dried and processed with anti fungal/moisture solutions. Raw lumber would need to be left to dry for at least 3 years so basically in a stick frame house construction it would warp too much if you use raw timber plus you have the risk of pests inside the wet wood.

Here’s some points to consider when framing your house: 1. When building door/window openings in a corner make sure you will have wall space to install the door/window trim. I think this is a issue on your bedroom door opening especially on the inside corner. 2. It is very common to frame the inside bathroom wall using 2x6” lumber as it allows room for the 4” main plumbing stack to fit inside this wall. 3. Try to not run any plumbing in outside walls for the sake of avoiding freezing during winter. Love the build and the fantastic property upon which your new home will sit😀
